In Episode #2 we feature some truly unsettling stories about alien abductions.
Nobody likes to think about being abducted by aliens. It's a terrifying thought, and it's probably not one that you'll ever have to experience firsthand. But if you've ever watched a movie or TV show about alien abductions, or read a book or comic about them, chances are you've found yourself relating to the characters in some way—and maybe even empathizing with them.
Why do people love scary stories about alien abductions? Because we all have an inner child who wants to believe in magic and mystery. We want a world where anything can happen—good things and bad things alike—and we want to believe that there are bigger forces at work than just ourselves. When it comes out well for the hero of our story (like when they get away from their captors), it makes us feel like our own lives could be better in some way too—that if we work hard enough at something, we'll be rewarded for it somehow. And when bad things happen to characters we care about (like when they get caught by aliens), it makes us feel like maybe there's justice in the world after all; that no matter how hard life gets us down here on Earth, there's always someone watching over us from above.
