Today's story is part one of two for a quirky and fun tale with potion magic and a mix of humans and animals, but underneath its cozy feel, there are some layered characters and deep themes. It's written by Jeremy P. Madsen, who writes clean, family-friendly fantasy stories with spiritually resonant themes. He's been writing since 8th grade, when he acted out fight scenes with a cape and plastic sword. He currently works for BK Authors, Inc. and Barrett Kohler Publishers, and he lives in Columbus, Ohio with his wife and three children. And yes, he still wears capes.
