All right. Welcome everyone on our first ever episode.

Today we're going to chat a bit and introduce ourselves to you, the hosts, which is Christine and Laura, and who we are, why we're here, and what the podcast is really about.

Laura, do you want to introduce yourself?

I would love to Christine. So I'm Laura and I'm a Co creator of the Women's 's Career Mastery Program, in a partnership with Christine.  We have worked together for about a year now on the topic of helping women through career transitions. My background is in HR learning, leadership development and coaching. We’re passionate about this. I'm really passionate about coaching women who are who are challenged with career transitions, making decisions about career transitions, or being forced into a career transitions. I have worked with hundreds of clients and am really, really pumped up to be doing this podcast right now.

Awesome! And like Laura said, I think Laura we've been working more than a year, like two years together.

Is it two years already? Wow, that’s why we’re together.

I think in in we've been experimenting a lot. We we have women transition, transition communities and we hear a lot of pretty much the same trend and patterns about the change in the workplace and how can we have more fulfilling career. And what does it mean to transitions?

So, Laura and I has been serving the communities and we hear the need and therefore we are creating this program called Women's 's career mastery, and part of the Women Career Mastery is this podcast.  Where we can have a dialogue and conversations about challenges that women have in workplace, in career and how to own their career, how to move career if necessary and really find purpose, and ways where they can really make an impact in meaningful way. Right, Laura?

Right.

And it's not necessarily Ohh, all women are picking up and moving out of their companies and going to different things like being coming an entrepreneur, changing companies, changing professions. There's a lot of that going on. But it's also there's women who want to stay with their company and make it a better workplace and get a chance to develop and do different things inside the company. They're just stuck. They're just stuck. They don't know what to do. So we're we're helping in that capacity too.

Yeah. And again, Laura is in the background of leadership and development. And I'm in the background of User Experience and Human Experience and what is it? What? What does it takes to create, transform, transformation from the inside out and together we bring our own angle, perspective, different, different diverse experience to the table because we have the same mission and vision and therefore we having this podcast.

Laura, do you want to speak about what kind of women we find as a guest on our podcast and the guest lists? And why? What What's our approach? And why we choose them?

Sure. So the women that we're inviting plus the women that are reaching out to want to be on the podcast, it's very diverse group of women. And so they all have in common a story, they have a story to tell and they want to break through any challenge or myth that has been bestowed upon them and overcome and achieve. They want to feel like they can help others as well. So it's part of a give back so. We actually have a long list of people that want to be on the podcast. We have quite a few episodes to record and every story is impactful. It's insightful. We're learning a lot, right? We've learned about topics that we didn't even think about when it comes to career transitions. So just, you know, stay tuned like this is this is going to be really good. I really encourage our listeners too, if you're interested in in being. A guest and you have a story to tell that you think would help and inspire others. Reach out to us. Contact us.

Yeah. So that's basically what we’re about and I hope this gives you a little bit more about this podcast about who we are and we hope that we can see you again. I guess it's not seeing, it's hearing, we cannot see you. But I hope through our messages, through what the guest share with us will also inspire you and and keep you. How do you feed it and know that you know we we are not here alone, we are here together.

And I think that's why you and I worked together, because we felt that at one point there was no place to go or no one to talk to as we were going through our transitions. And so we formed a coalition, the two of us in a friendship and now a business. So anything's 's possible but that's what really brought us together and keeps us together and we know that you can do it too.

Awesome. Now I have another question, Laura. Who do you think that this podcast is best for? I know we talked a lot more about that, but what about the roles and organization?

Well, I think it would apply to anybody listening that is in a career or whether they're just starting out and they've started in a new job and a new company and they're not sure where to g next, they're not sure what they should be thinking about. You can get some insight from these episodes. It could be for women in the mid career who are feeling stuck, who are feeling like they have to downshift to keep up with life, right? They're just not able to do things. They may feel like they're in a toxic work environment. There's so many scenarios that we've coached people through, but definitely people starting out in their careers and people in the middle, like people who are in the middle contemplating something, even thinking about something, or actually like deep in it, like deep in some sort of transition situation. I don't think it's for people that might be considering retirement.

But it could because there are some topics that would apply in our podcast. But, again I think it's sort of early mid career.

I think I wanna add something as well. I think this will be useful for people in leadership in the company, other in HR or learning and development because you will find insights on topics that probably people are your team will not speak in your company or with you, but they will speak openly here because this is this is a place where they can — share their lessons. So yeah, it could be an insightful podcast also to know what is the trend in the marketplace? What is, what are things that are happening with women in the workplace?

I love that, Christine, you're talking about sort of, you know, removing the curtain, right. And let's really get what women are thinking about in their perspectives and how they're approaching things. And any business leader can listen to it and learn about it. And maybe, you know, maybe you want to talk to us. Maybe you want to talk to the guests. Again, reach out. I think we're all here trying to not just help empower women through transitions, but to make better workplaces and ultimately a better world, really.

Yes, that's why we're here. So stay tuned and hope to see you. In the next podcast. Thank you. Bye everybody.
