This is the 1st episode of the year. Welcome visionary leaders. As we move into a new year, it's time to reflect on the journey we've been on together. And I'm wondering, how has 2023 been for you? Now I'll be honest with you and be quite real. If someone had given me a glimpse of what being an entrepreneur was really all about, I might have questioned my decision to embark on this path in the 1st place. But here we are and I'm grateful that the challenges and uncertainties along the way didn't deter me. I'm sure many of you have had moments when, you know, you considered really throwing in the towel. Walking away from your business and returning to the security of a job.

I've been there too and certainly wonder if the struggle sometimes are worth it. Entrepreneurship is far from the glamorous image painted by those who make it seem like, you know, we're just lounging by the pool, sipping margaritas while the sales magically roll in. I don't know about you, but for 2023, my clients and I have lost team members, hired new team members, trained said team members, pivoted their businesses, changed their messaging, started a podcast, completely updated their core offers, and I'm sure the list goes on. But I'm gonna ask, who cares? Who really cares about all that was done behind the scenes? Because let's face it, entrepreneurship can feel so lonely. Nobody sees the fires you put out day after day. Nobody sees what you deal with behind the scenes. Nobody sees you hovering over your laptop at 3 in the morning rewriting that sales page yet again. Nobody sees you picking up the slack wherever and whenever it's necessary.

Nobody sees the half of what you do but you. And so you have to ask yourself why? Why do you do that? Because you care. You care so much. Which is why it hurts when new subscribers unsubscribe from your email list, which is why it hurts when you spend an hour recording a podcast episode that gets less than stellar downloads. That's why it hurts when you teach a webinar and have less than 5 people show up. That's why it hurts when you end a sales call and never hear from that person again. They've just ghosted you. But no matter what, you keep going.

And that right there, that needs to be celebrated. It's not easy. The behind the scenes work is intense, and the list of challenges sometimes seems endless. But despite the setbacks, you keep going. Why? Because deep down, if you're anything like me, you know it's worth it. And so today, I wanna hit pause for a moment and celebrate. Celebrate you. Today, I want to stop taking ourselves so seriously and remember that entrepreneurship is supposed to be fun.

We've got our entire lives to grow our businesses. So, visionary leaders, I wanna hear from you. What's a win you wanna celebrate? And let's revel in the victories together. Because growth be told, the world may not see everything you do. But I do. I see the dedication, the hard work, and the passion that you pour into your business each and every day. And as 2023 wraps up and we move into 2024, I want you to remember that you're not alone on this journey. I'm here to celebrate with you, and I can't wait to see what incredible things the future holds for each and every one of you.

And as we wrap up 1 year and move into the next, I encourage you to take a step back and really appreciate the progress you've made. Celebrate the wins that might have gone unnoticed in the hustle of the day to day operations. Whether they're big or small, Each achievement is a testament to your dedication and perseverance. Recognize your growth. Not just as a business owner, but as an individual who is continuously evolving and adapting. Being 1% better today than you were last week. And as we say goodbye to 2023, let's embrace the challenges, celebrate the victories, and really look forward to the exciting possibilities that the upcoming year holds. Remember, you're not alone in this journey and your dedication does not go unnoticed.
