Hey there, welcome back to the channel where we dive deep into living an authentic and fulfilling life.

I'm Isak, and today's topic is about something that can fundamentally change the way you perceive and the way you live your life.

We're going to discuss discovering the truth in a world of illusions.

Now, you might be wondering What does that even mean? How do we distinguish truth from illusion in a world full of noise? In a world full of misinformation and distractions?

Okay, buckle up because we're about to uncover some pretty powerful insights.

Let's address the elephant in the room. We live in a world where illusions are created and perpetuated daily.

These illusions influence our decisions, our sense of self-worth, and even our life purpose. So, whether it's you know, the curated perfection of social media, or the endless chase for material success, or the societal expectations. These illusions often cloud our judgment and steer us away from our true selves.

Okay, so here's a question for you. How much of your daily life is spent navigating through these illusions? Think about it. How many times do you feel that, you know, an advertisement or a social post or even a conversation leaves you questioning your worth or your goals?

It's terrifying, but it's true. You know, the problem is these illusions can become so ingrained in our lives that we start believing they are our reality. And once that happens, discovering our true purpose, our true selves, becomes incredibly difficult.

So, how do we break free from these illusions? How do we discover the truth?

Okay, let's break it down into some more actionable steps.

First of all, self-awareness. The first step to uncovering truth is to become self-aware. This means questioning your beliefs. Your values and your motivations.

Some questions that you might want to ask yourself are: Why do I want what I want? Who am I doing this for? These questions might sound simple, but I lived my life until I was 25 years old. And I never asked these questions.

I never asked, Why do I want what I want? I never asked, Who am I doing this for? I was operating on autopilot. The things I pursued in life were things that I didn't question, like, why am I pursuing these things, or why am I doing this? It just felt like natural. It felt obvious. It felt like, yeah, of course, I'm doing this thing because it's just who I am, right?

And that's so sneaky, because what your motivations and your beliefs, and your values they're based from societal conditioning. They're based from your family values. They're based from what other people told you when you were younger. And if you never question these things, you will never get to the core of the things that you actually want.

So you need to grow up. You need to start asking these questions. much. Because we're not taught to ask these questions in school. We're not taught to ask these questions in any environment, basically.

It's just like, yeah, for most people, these things are obvious. Yeah, why would I ask these questions? Why do I want what I want? I know what I want, right? Or who am I doing this for? I'm not doing it for anyone else. I'm just doing it for myself, but when I went through burnout, and I started to really ask these questions, it was eye-opening for me. I was doing a lot of things for someone who I didn't even know who that person was, it wasn't until I talked to my psychotherapist about this kind of stuff and we dug deeper into these things.

Like, why are you working so hard? Why are you living the kind of life that you're doing? And why are you making these sacrifices? To me, it was obvious, like, yeah, of course I need to do it because I want to live up to my full potential. But who am I doing this for? Who am I living up to my full potential for?

I wasn't doing it for me. It has nothing to do with me. I wasn't, you know, trying to work so hard and doing all of these things for me because I didn't really care about it. It wasn't for my family.

My parents, they never cared about this stuff. They love me for who I am. They don't want me to be someone else. I mean, they were the opposite of this.

So, yeah, I dug deeper into this question, like why am I doing this, and who am I doing it for? And it sparks some existential questions. In my head, and it sparked some really groundbreaking transitions in terms of my own life and what I choose to value in my life and what I choose to spend my time on, who I spend my time with, and what activities I pursue. These may seem like basic questions, but they are very important to ask.

Okay, next up is critical thinking. Develop the habits of critical thinking and don't accept things at face value. You need to investigate, question, and you need to dig deeper because understanding that not everything presented to you is the truth is a very crucial aspect of being a human. Especially in the time that we live in now.

This aspect of things it's so crucial, and it's so pervasive, and it's so mysterious, and it's so difficult to wrap your head around. Why is that? I've been asking myself this question a lot.

Basically, your mind has a lot of self-deception. If you haven't spent thousands of hours meditating deeply and investigating what's going on, you will be filled with ego self-deceptions. And I'm not just saying this because, you know, I read it in a book. I, I've actually observed this within myself.

I've been able to observe some of the ego self-deceptions happening to me, and it's on a daily basis, sometimes it's really quite remarkable in terms of the length that the ego will go to, to self-deceive you. And I'm in no way an expert when it comes to this because this topic is very deep and you can spend decades trying to dig more deeply into this depending on your strategy, but yeah, it's an important point.

Next up is mindfulness and reflection. And this, this one you can adapt to your own life by taking time each day to reflect on your past experiences. Mindfulness practices, such as meditation, can help clear the mental clutter and bring you closer to understanding your true thoughts and your true feelings.

Next up, we have consuming wisely. This is about being selective about the information and influences you allow into your life. Whether it's books, media, or the people you surround yourself with. You need to choose sources that enrich your understanding and align with your values.

Next up is authentic connections. And this one is about surrounding yourself with people who encourage you to be your authentic self. Authentic connections help dispel illusions, and they bring more truth into your life.

So, by consistently applying these steps, you will start peeling away the layers of the illusion, and getting closer to your true self, and discovering what genuinely matters to you.

Okay, so to wrap things up, discovering truth in a world of illusions isn't about finding some ultimate universal truth. It's about finding your truth. It's about aligning your life with values and beliefs that reflect who you genuinely are.

Remember, your journey to truth is just that—a journey. It requires patience, effort, and a lot of self-compassion. But the reward? Living a life that resonates with you, your authentic self, and your deepest values.
