Since joining the American Cancer Society in 2003, she has worked tirelessly to support cancer patients, caregivers, and survivors across Southern California, including San Diego, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Los Angeles, and Imperial County.
With a strong background in health disparities, ecological theory, and evidence-based cancer prevention, Demy specializes in community-based participatory research, community empowerment, and capacity building. In her current role, Demy leads the implementation and promotion of patient programs, such as Road to Recovery, Reach to Recovery, Lodging, and other vital American Cancer Society services.
