In this episode of Next Big Wave, Tim speaks to Melvin Yuan, the founder of Stellar, a company that helps founders start and scale their businesses in Singapore and the US. 

Melvin shares his journey from being in the military to becoming a founder and discusses how his military experience has influenced his approach to entrepreneurship. They also discuss the experience of going through the Iterative accelerator program and the pros and cons of incorporating a business in Singapore. 

Melvin highlights the importance of good governance in Singapore and the access to capital and talent that the country offers. He also suggests that while Singapore is a great place to establish a business, it can be expensive to live there, and entrepreneurs may consider living in neighboring cities to extend their runway. In this conversation, Melvin and Tim discuss their experiences living and working in different parts of the world, including Southeast Asia and Silicon Valley. 

They also exchange some of their favorite productivity hacks which are extremely practical and will help almost any founder!
