00:01  Hey everyone, I'm super excited to be here. Let me ask you something. What if you didn't have to wait years to be seen as an authority? Most people believe that credibility comes with time, experience, or a massive audience. But what if there was a way to position yourself as an expert right now even if you don't have an audience? Big connections for a publishing deal.    

00:30  That's exactly what we are going to talk about today. Leveraging expert collaborations to build an authority boosting book that establishes credibility, attracts opportunity, opportunities and grows your business. And I want to introduce you to something a little different, something I like to call it a summit in a book. If you've ever felt like you don't have a big audience, the right connections for the industry backing to be taken seriously, then this session is for you.    

01:10  Now let me ask you this. What if you could create an authority boosting book without writing the whole thing yourself? Sounds intriguing, right? That's exactly what I did. And today, I'm going to show you how I turned a book into a strategic authority asset. One they didn't just share knowledge, but also expanded my credibility, reach, and business opportunities. Because here's the truth, authority isn't given, it's built. And I want to show you how. So today I'm pulling back the curtain of how my book High Profit Secrets came to life.    

01:51  Not through traditional publishing, but through collaboration, positioning, and the framework that change everything.    

02:00  Now let's be clear, this isn't about pretending to be an authority. You already have expertise, but if no one knows about it, you are the best kept secret in your industry.    

02:15  Before we dive in, here's a little bit about me. I'm Anita Plucks and Primoznik, USA TODAY and Wall Street Journal best selling author, creative entrepreneur, and lifestyle business and marketing strategist with an extensive business background. I'm passionate about turning knowledge into profitable opportunities. But more than that, I've co-authored 7 books and every single one became a bestseller. Through these experiences, I've learned first hand that books aren't just something you publish. They are powerful positioning tools when used strategically.    

02:57  And that is exactly how I approach my book High Profit Secrets. But before we go behind the scenes of my book, let's talk about something that can make or break your success. Strategic positioning.    

03:13  Most people spent years trying to grow an audience before positioning themselves as an expert. I know this because that was me. I didn't have a messing following, I wasn't part of any exclusive networks, and I certainly didn't have a publishing deal. But then I did things differently. Instead of chasing feasibility, I focused on creating something valuable first. A book, but not just any book. A collaborative one that leverage expert insights to add credibility, expand my reach, and fast track my authority. I invested in a mentor who helped me see the power of strategic positioning and show me a different approach, one that broke the rules and LED to real results.    

04:01  And that's how High Profit Secrets was born.    

04:08  But before I take you behind the scenes of High Profit Secrets, I want to share something with you that completely changed my perspective on collaborative books. A few years before I published my own summit in a book, I had the incredible opportunity to co-author a book with the legend J Coleman and Levinson, the father of Guerrilla Marketing. The book Guerrilla Success was an amazing experience and a huge authority piece for me, and to this day it's still close to my heart. Not just because of the credibility, but because I personally knew Jay and his work has such a huge impact on me.    

04:52  But here's what I realized over time. While the while that book was an incredible asset and open doors, I wasn't fully leveraging it as part of my business strategy. I saw it primarily as a credibility piece, an incredible 1, but I didn't have a clear plan for how to integrate it in my bigger vision.    

05:14  And that experience taught me something important. Authority alone isn't enough. How you position and use it is what makes the difference. So when I created High Profit Secrets, I approached it differently. I structured this as a more than just a book. I designed it to actively drive visibility, open new business opportunities and build long term collaborations.    

05:45  So how did I take an idea and turn it in a book that built my authority? First, I didn't do it alone. I collaborated with 25 experts, which immediately added credibility to the book. But I didn't just speak random names. I had a strategy. I carefully selected experts whose knowledge complemented the book's theme and whose audiences aligned with the type of people I wanted to reach. This way, the book wasn't just a collection of insights, it was a curated, high value resource for the right readers who are looking for ways to monetize their knowledge.    

06:26  Which is my passion, by the way. I also didn't want just a book. I wanted a strategic asset, so I structured it in a way that made it an Evergreen tool for visibility, business growth, and lead generation. That meant integrating it into my broader business ecosystem, from my digital assets like websites and landing pages to my offers and networking opportunities. And the result? The results? I Profit Secrets became an Amazon bestseller in multiple countries, led to Pocus podcast invitations, timid appearances, collaborations, and open doors I never expected. And beyond that, it continues to be a lead generation tool, bringing in new email sign ups and opportunities long after the launch.    

07:23  And here's something important I have to say. Yes, I previously learned about self-publishing I took courses. I work with mentors, but I also knew that I didn't have to do everything alone. There are experts who specialized in the details, so instead of getting stuck on things like editing or formatting, I could focus on the bigger picture, the positioning and strategy of the book.    

07:55  Now, a lot of people hesitate when it comes to reaching out to experts. I did too. I actually asked myself, why would these industry leaders want to be part of my book? What if they say no? Do I even have credibility to reach out to them? But here's the shift that changed everything for me. It's not about you, it's about what's in it for them. When structured strategically, collaborations are a win win. Experts get exposure to a wider audience. This doesn't mean your audience, but combined audiences from all the experts participating in the collaboration. And that's huge.    

08:42  They also benefit from the credibility boost of of being featured alongside other respected names. And if and if you make it simple and seamless for them to contribute, they are far more likely to say yes. And that's exactly what I did. I made it easy for them. I created a streamlined process, structured interviews, simple guidelines and clear expectations so that participating wasn't a burden but a great opportunity for them. And on top of that, all contributing experts are now best selling quarters, not just me. And this is because I positioned them as co-authors in my book.    

09:25  This wasn't just my win, it was a success for everyone involved, and you can imagine they will never forget me for that.    

09:36  If there's one thing I want you to take away from this is this. Authority isn't something you wait for, it's something you built. And here's what that really means for you. Positioning creates authority. Visibility follows. Most people think that they need a big audience before they can establish credibility. But the reality it's not about how many people follow you, it's about how you position yourself. When you create something of failure, the right audience will find you. Collaboration is the fastest path to credibility.    

10:17  One of the biggest mistakes entrepreneurs make is trying to establish authority alone. But standing next to experts, whether in a book, a podcast, or a summit, instantly elevates your credibility.     10:33  A book or any other authority asset isn't just content, it's a business tool. A book isn't just something you publish and forget about. When positioned strategically, it becomes part of your bigger ecosystem. It opens doors, attracts new opportunities and works for you long after the launch.    

10:55  I know that for some of you, the idea of self-publishing might feel overwhelming. You might be thinking, but I don't know anything about publishing. Here's the thing, you don't have to do it all yourself. If publishing isn't your strength, there are experts who can handle that part for you so you can focus on creating an impact for book. The key is not letting the publishing side hold you back because the real power isn't in the mechanics of publishing, it's in the positioning and strategy behind the book.    

11:29  So with that in mind, let's talk about what you can do right now. You don't have to wait years to be seen as an expert. Here are three actionable steps you can take immediately. Identify an authority business asset, a book, a course, or a collaboration project like, I don't like, I don't know, virtual summit or else position yourself as the expert leading that project. Don't wait for credibility to be given to you and next, leverage expert collaborations standing besides credibility is the fastest way to build your own.    

12:10  And most importantly, don't wait for permission to be seen. Create something that makes you visible.
