00:00 Well, hello there i'm Doctor Christiana Schroeter. I'm an author, business and Wellness coach and professor and today I'm going to share my repurposing secret with you so you can build some passive income so let's get started. My presentation is from podcast episode to passive income. How to repurpose one piece of content into a month worth of marketing? Let's maybe share a little bit about myself. I am a firm believer in giving a good hug, especially if you might be stressed out in creating content and lining out one month of marketing Content is a lot of something.

00:38 So if you have somebody in your life that is going through the same thing, I'm a believer in giving hugs, high fives, and just letting them know how amazing they are. I also take one step at a time so if you take one month and you break it down into 30 days, it definitely helps to maybe batch create content so small steps really lead into that large amount of 30 pieces of content that you want to go for.

01:04 And lastly, you can hear this from my accent, I am German, I like structure and organization and I will definitely share some of my best kept secrets here with you today. I have two daughters i live in California and I moved here because I'm a professor so I love teaching i teach food marketing, innovation, entrepreneurship, and I'm also a solopreneur my business is called Doctor Christiane and I made maybe some of you already with any other summits or podcast where I've spoken at before. I love my own podcast, which is called Happy Healthy Hassle and is ranked in the top 1 % globally.

01:43 I have now accumulated more than seven hundred fifty five story reviews and I've spoken at more than 200 summits as well as podcasts, taught more than 10.000 thousand students by now. And I used my pH D in health economics and also sharing little tidbits about health and business, which is called Petite practice my trademark signature framework so let's jump directly into it and figure out what is Petite practice. A petite practice is actually inspired by the French word yes i am very much drawn to the European culture means that we take small steps to get some significant goal done so if you think about that content planning, if you want to plan one month of content, you're breaking it down into 30 small steps and 30 small pieces.

02:31 It sounds definitely much more achievable because you're making it clear how much content do we really need and then maybe even within the content you can organize it into, I need this much content for Instagram i need this much content for another social media outlet. So petite practice is really the art of integrating small habits into your daily life. Maybe if you need to create content and you can film some B roll while you're out and about, or maybe you can do some voice recordings while you're on a walk. But think about also, there's always a new perspective on your life and your business.

03:08 Lastly, what's really important is that you're building consistency and that consistency does not mean you need to show up every day everywhere. It just means that you find your stride and you're showing up whenever you're comfortable with it and then those other days, maybe you have some recordings that you can share with the world so they can still see you, but you don't need to necessarily always be on.

03:30 But that, that's also my secret sauce i think it's so important that we take care of ourselves, really taking care of our body, mind and spirit. Not really the woo stuff, but maybe more like taking care of yourself so you can show up as your best self, which means that sharing big ideas, your strategy, your productivity, really taking your ideas and actually making them happen. So my secret sauce is really in the middle business goals and Wellness and letting them collide because that's where you're feeling fabulous about sharing your business and where you're feeling confident and your success is truly aligned with who you are.

04:11 So what you will learn here today is how to repurpose your content and with that, we're going to have also some fun along the way because I'm using my tomato sauce secret formula and that means my tomato sauce secret formula it might make you smile already is something that I like to compare things to, something that we see nowadays in live and the tomato sauce example came to me one day and it has stuck in my head ever since.

04:39 This is all important because the more confident you are in sharing content, the more people will look at you as an authority because you can use as your podcast, you can look at your guest expert spots and of course your content is all there to position you as the go to leader in your niche. Don't think that you are the only one about 74 % of the population frequently experiences nervousness when they speak in public and that might also be speaking on podcasts so don't worry at all. It's definitely not something that we will have to master because the majority of the population experience is exactly the same.

05:18 So what can we do about that? Well, one important thing is you need to know what you can talk about. So if you pick a subject that you actually feel yourself somewhat passionate about or you're maybe an expert in, your audience will really feel that passion in your voice. They also hear that in your projection and they're excited because you're sharing something that truly resonated with you or transformed your life so you have to know your audience if you choose a topic that you're fairly familiar with or that you're interested in, that's really, really important and I can't emphasize that enough so don't get slow for trends, but rather go for something that works for you.

05:57 At the same time, you have to research it and the research is also important, of course, because it helps your plan. By researching, you can maybe layout an easy structures or your general purpose and the specific purpose. And lastly, the main points, you may be starting from broad and then drilling it down to becoming more specific. What I always feel is super important is that you really need to think what is the main thing that I'm trying to share so that had become that effortless authority.

06:27 And then after that, what is it really how can I pull everything together as far as a storyline that I want people taking away from my presentation here today? Because I looked at it like every piece of content is kind of like a little pyramid, right? You're trying to climb them and it seems like there's a lot of work to do. And you can of course take big steps and really make it hard for yourself.

06:52 Or you take small steps and maybe film like small little videos instead of like hour long videos. And maybe what you can do is just create one video and break it up into smaller clips. So the right hand side, somebody's taking small steps and still getting to the same goal, which is the goal and essence of my PT practice instead of feeling completely overwhelmed with your repurposing strategy. So it's all about showing your unique superpower and sharing your story and superpower is also the name of my book, which is Discover Your Superpower. And I would strongly encourage you to check it out i will have a link here at the end of this presentation.

07:34 So how can we create repurposing habits that really last well, let's maybe embrace those pretty practices. What you could do is to repurpose one piece of content into a whole month worth of marketing is just use chunks of time. All what you need, we need is 5 to 15 minutes so what you could do is look at your content and then maybe you can break it up into smaller pieces and those smaller pieces then you could be really repurposed so maybe you have some written content that you can repurpose and post it into various social media or put blog posts into it and I will exactly lead you through my strategy here.

08:17 Firstly, is also important is don't get sucked into this so when you look at social media, set yourself a timer and then switch off any distractions so you can really focus. And lastly, what I also like is maybe a tracker. So keep track how often do you show up on social media? You want to show up every day or every other day, Maybe track things off so you're not disappearing from social media and you still remain visible with your main audience. So let's take a look into my tomato sauce repurpose strategy and that is also a sneak peek into my Discovery Superpower book. So it provides a little bit of an overview of what I use in my coaching and I share my book right here.

09:00 So at the end of each section, and this is a page for my book, there's always review prompts, puzzles and worksheets and of course, in the bonus section, people can download various templates so it helps them with their purposing strategy, but there's also brand boards and templates to really get them started with their content strategies. So the tomato sauce repurpose is just like, if you think about creating tomato sauce, you want to create some really high quality tomato sauce to then elevate your recipes, whether that's a pizza or pasta, lasagna, anything like that.

09:35 We really start with high quality ingredients if you want to repurpose your content, the key is really it needs to be super valuable and then you can tailor it to fit each audience. It makes it really save time so that's why it really matters because you can use one idea in a lot of different places and you can make it work. But at the same time, you can also reach different audiences you can reach an audience that's on Facebook versus an audience that's on Instagram versus an audience that's on LinkedIn because your value is so high that audiences in those different places will care about it you just have to repackage a little different.

10:14Like if you were to use tomato sauce, you may be using it once as an ingredient for the lasagna, once as an ingredient for the pizza, and then once as a side if you're using it as a dip or with the sauce with pasta. This really makes your visibility go up because you are visible in various different places, even though it always looks and feels a little bit different. Just like you're using your tomato sauce over and over again and it makes you consistent, but at the same time, you think of new ways how you can share your content, how it creates value with those audiences.

10:52 So how do you repurpose your content well, one important thing is you can maybe create a video and then really chop it up, right so you can also use a blog post and turn it into social media posts that are much smaller. If you think about our tomato sauce, you can add some spices you can vary it so maybe you add some basil, make it very Italian, or maybe you add bell Peppers and make it spicy. Think a little bit of how can you use something that is such a base layer and yet make it appear different? Use audio and you can use the audio from your video or you can use the audio from your podcast and make it different so you can extract an audio from your podcast and then use it as a description, maybe along with slides or anything like that.

11:40 What I also like is, of course, blending and visuals so you could create infographics or create graphics to make it really appear different. And lastly, you can serve it again and again and again, right you can refresh and reshare it using all the content, weaving that and maybe blending multiple videos together and creating a series out of it for YouTube, the possibilities are really endless just like with tomato sauce, there's so much you can do with it.

12:07 So here's an example of how I repurpose my content and again, this is from my Discovery Superpower book. The key was really that I used something valuable and then I tailored it to fit each audience. So this particular case, I created an Instagram Live and I actually met with some Wellness experts and they shared their insight about how to stay fit even though you might be really struck for time. So I had the Instagram Live. I edited the video in the script. What was really important is that the video was long enough so I could break it down into a shorter videos. Those shorter videos you can again edit in the script, you can create an intro and outro for it and you can make YouTube shorts out of it.

12:54 Then of course, you can make Instagram reels with little snippets and you can overlay them even with music or with a narration, or you could create the images into an Instagram carousel. Lastly, of course, stories are always easy to share even the behind the scenes, how you film everything is something your audience really likes. And then in your podcast, you can bring this up again and again and even insert some of these snippets into other podcast episodes. Then what I used is you can describe the audio and I like to cast magic with it and you can even use some chatter Vt and extract some knowledge out of it make a blog article out of it, use Chatter Vt again, send out a newsletter about it in your email and you can share that again on Instagram, Facebook, use any of those videos for YouTube or create pins for Pinterest out of it.

13:46 So overall, what I then did is I announced all of this again, maybe on Instagram Live with another social media or LinkedIn Live where I really talked about this blog or podcast in my book i'm basically sharing my podcast episodes, I'm sharing the experts. So I'm showing that as print. Then I'm also sharing the audio and of course, I'm sharing the video so I'm truly a firm believer into the content repurchasing strategy. So here I have a step by step of my content repurposing strategy and of course, all along the way, you can also see there are multiple ways that you can make revenue with this. So my podcast episode right there, you can record your podcast very simply, maybe even via Zoom.

14:31 And it's always better to start with high quality and then boil it down from there so if you start with the video in Zoom, you can then extract the audio, but then the video could also be used for your shorts so you can edit that a little bit in the script and then publish to your podcast and use it as a podcast in YouTube as well. Blog post is easily extracted with Cast Magic and the good thing about the blog post is this really helps your SEO. Then you can create social media graphics how you share that podcast or the blog.

15:04 And of course, you can pull quotes from your podcast and publish them in your blog as well. I like to use camera to create any graphics for Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest. What's important is it sticks to your brand and then what I do is I post it on YouTube. I like to edit the YouTube episodes again and you can maybe even create shorter clips there that might have titles and captions to make it more accessible for various audiences.

15:30 What I then do is you can even do a follow up on Instagram Live and maybe even have the same guest appear it again. And then audiences can listen to the podcast or YouTube videos after the Instagram Live. And lastly, you can even create a Malik magnet out of it and they can sell that at a low cost where you're going to be transferring me some key insights from that Instagram live into a downloadable resource to grow your email list. And of course, it offers additional values. So one conversation could turn into so many different platforms really with maximum impact. I have three books, Planner Discovery Superpower book that has all these podcast interviews in there that I just talked about as well as my best selling book, How to Master Your Goals, and all of them are highly interactive.

16:21 I'm a firm believer we need to have various resources that keep us interested and stimulated. So it is for all different learning styles. I would love for you to check out my podcast it really shares some captivating stories and insights it's called happy healthy hassle. And with that, get in touch with me. You can find me at Doctor <a href="christiana.com">christiana.com</a> and check out my books on Amazon two of them were published on March twenty third, the Discovery Superpower Book and Petite practice planner.
