00:01 Hello hello i am so excited to be here and to help you start to shift your business to receiving the Evergreen revenue that you truly deserve. Today we're going to be talking about how to shift yourself from those done for you services into Evergreen sales and talk a little bit about why it might not be working if you already are trying to do that.   00:30 Ultimately, there's a few shifts that you're going to need to make if you want to grow your business without the dreaded burnout.

00:40 So let me give you a little back story. Since 2018 I've been working with and I've helped many freelancers, service based business owners and agency owners and almost all of them hit burnout at some point while running their businesses and some of them closed their successful businesses completely. What most of them had in common is that they were doing certain things that were preventing them from growing sustainably so that way they could avoid that burnout. So whether you are new to creating digital products or you've done that and had minimal success in selling them, I'm here to help you do that.

01:30 Ultimately, you don't know what you don't know. When you're running a online service based businesses business, you're often focused on purely that lead generation and growing your revenue and adding and adding and adding, maybe even with the angle of turning your business into an agency at some point. But you're usually not focused on building something that is sustainable regardless of which path you choose. And that's exactly why you're here. I want you to help you avoid the client work burnout and the client work dependency.

02:10 So who am I hey, I'm Lindsay, I'm a wife and a mom of two in this picture my kids are really young and extra adorable arya is now 8 and AJ is now 6. They keep me be very much on my toes i am constantly fuel fueled by coffee and I really believe in running a business that helps people but ultimately allows you to put your family first. I came from a corporate background i was a paralegal for over a decade working in law and I started my digital marketing company, Key Lima Media and I started that really to pay for my maternity leave when I was pregnant with my son.   02:59 My business has had its ups and it's downs. I don't have a story where I hit 6 figures within my first six months of business. I really grew it in my pockets of time while working full time, having two kids, juggling all the things and eventually I ended up full time in my business.

03:22 My mission today is really focusing on helping multi passionate service providers stop overthinking and finally launch those ideas and start scaling without you having to book more clients unless you want to. So let's talk about some of the shifts you're going to make in your business so that way you can do that. The first shift you're going to make is really focused on your audience, but maybe you might need to make a mental shift first. So usually when you're a service provider and you know that you need to add digital products to your business, maybe you've tried selling some already and you've had minimal success, it's a really difficult shift to make.

04:14 For many of us, it's the very first time we've actually had to focus on making ourselves our most important client. You hear that time and time again, You know, put yourself first make your own business, your number one client. But we rarely do. Some of us are good with it, most of us are not. But now when you're making the shift to creating Evergreen revenue and scaling with digital products, you really, truly do have to put yourself first in order to make this work.

04:49 The first change you're going to make is recognizing that your ideal client avatar for these new products is not the same as the person you were selling your services to. We often forget that our ideal client is no longer a client that is looking for those done for you services.

05:12 Our new ideal client is a person that maybe has no idea where to start or they're DIY ING the types of services that you offer. They don't need the done for you services. They're DIY ING those things on their own, some successfully, some not so so not so well. They really need resources and products that are going to help them start at square one, maybe square 2, and help them work through it on their own.

05:48 But in order to do that, your marketing and your content needs to also make a shift and speak to your new ideal client. Because ultimately, if you don't have people in your audience to buy your new offers, you're not going to have sales.   06:10 So while we're building our brand new audience with some amazing content, speaking to those people, you're going to want to work on creating offers that will have them saying, hell yes, that's exactly what I need. When they stumble upon your content and your offers,

06:30 You're going to do that by creating an offer ecosystem that serves your audience at different touch points in their business journey. The easiest way to do that is by starting to focus on a central topic that you're going to help your audience with. Yes, a central topic. That does not mean you can't have to stay in a box i promise. So this is an example of what it could look like for mapped out for like a business coach or if you were coming from like a social media management background like me, your system could consist of Canva templates, a 30 day content plan, a course, maybe a membership, a 30 day live challenge, one-on-one strategy sessions, custom marketing plans, and even social media management if that's still something you offer.

07:28 The point is, is this is your time to go crazy. Get every inspiration idea in your brain on paper. Go wild don't hold back because you are mapping out this big picture. You really want to create the big picture but while you're doing that, you also want to consider your time and your capacity so that way you're able to balance things without becoming overwhelmed. So get it all on paper map it out in a way that you hope makes sense.   08:04 You can always reach out if you need help. Create the big picture and then you are going to start with one, just one, one offer at a time so that way you don't get overwhelmed because many of us are still working with our clients while we build out these new streams of revenue.

08:26 Well, Speaking of building things out and not having time, how are you going to have time to sell them?   08:36 That can be hard when you're doing your own client work so now we need to juggle it all and depending on your offers and of course your personality, you can go about this in a couple of different ways. Not every launch plan is 1 size fits all so we're going to talk about a couple of options here. So if you are my perfectionist, my Type A is my planners, you are going to want to work, focus on a batch creation type of launch plan.

09:08 You're going to map out your launch, you're going to batch create all your content, You're going to pick that launch date and then you're going to schedule it all. And then you are going to launch your product you're going to review your data and then you're going to rinse and repeat for whatever worked when you're ready to promote again, this honors your time. It makes things simple and seamless and easy.

09:35 Then there is the real time creation plan this is for my my, I say this lovingly scatterbrained ADHDADD entrepreneurs. You bat the idea of batch creating makes you want to pull your hair out, right? So you're going to map out your topics that coincide with your offer. Then you're just simply going to pick a time frame that you want to promote and launch that product. When that time frame rolls around, you're going to review your topics list and you're going to create and post in real time based on those topics and your inspiration.

10:16 You're going to go with the flow. My biggest piece of advice to you is making sure that when you pick your launch date, you're also blocking out your calendar so you do not have extra meetings, responsibilities and to do's on top of your launch you can really, really focus in on just that one thing for that time frame.

10:42 Then there's the always selling method. Now this is my favorite for the procrastinators and those that thrive on habits. I'm I am one of you i am in this plan with you. You're going to really define your content topics that go with your offers and these can often be referred to as content buckets you've probably heard that before. Then you're going to create a map out of schedule that uses your content buckets that you have on a regular rotation. So that way you can attract new customers and focus on really selling your products.

11:24 You and this doesn't have to be super strict you can do this for a week time span, a month, whatever feels right for you. But the key here is you are going to be selling every day. That can look like that doesn't have to be car sales Mini, it doesn't have to be in your face. That can mean that you're offering them something ever every day, whether that be a piece of value based content, A blog post they can read, a freebie they can snag.   11:55 It cannot be one of your products or services. The point is to be constantly letting people know that you're here, what you help with and what you're offering to them on a daily basis.

12:13 Now, why are we going to all this trouble what can this actually do for our business? So at least for me, it changed my business completely. My husband had a stroke and that was really my aha moment. I guess you could call it or you know, gut wrenching time stopped moment where I knew that I needed to shift my business. I was in a hospital with him while he's getting poked and prodded and tested with my laptop on my lap working on client work and that's when I really truly knew that I needed to make my digital products a main focus and start shifting to that so that way when things fall apart, because we know at some point, at some time, they always seem to in one way, shape or form that when that did happen, I was still getting revenue, I was still able to keep up.

13:15 And over that span of time, this has created low stress income streams for my business and it's allowed me to help far more people with those resources. I don't have the immediate stress to replace a client when somebody says they want to move on.

13:36 More stress, less stress, more focus, more time for myself and my family. I was able to focus on working out and cooking more and doing some of the things that really brought me joy outside of business and working. And because of that, I created the chaos to clarity of society it's my membership where I really help service providers and freelancers create a sustainable business model from a client focused one into digital products and really go through that framework with them.
