[00:00:00]:
Hello, my name is Shelby, I am the creator of Wilding Wonders Art which is a clipart and seamless pattern store on Etsy. Today I'm going to be showing you how we can use clip art, which is really just high quality graphics that have a transparent background and how we can use that with the power of AI, particularly ChatGPT today to make really stunning products that not only look good but sell. So I'm going to be going through with you a framework that I have created called Made and I'll let you know what that stands for as we go through the presentation. And this is going to help you create really beautiful, high converting designs in really record time. It's going to walk you through the steps. You get to use your creative brain and you also get to use the help of AI. You don't need to be a designer, you don't need to be a copywriter to make really high value digital products. And I want to show you how you can use these tools and I'll also be using Canva as well today.
[00:01:05]:
So I'm going to go through this with you first and then we will jump in and I'll show you a little bit in action. So a little bit about me. I am Shelby again the creator of Wilding Wonders Heart and it is a clipart and seamless pattern store on Etsy. So I am very passionate about helping other digital products sellers create things and sell them on Etsy because I'm doing that myself and it's just such a rewarding way to create passive income that gets to support your life. So I am a mom of two littles, I have a four year old and a one and a half year old and my, my goal is really to stay home and homeschool. So being able to create passive income online that supports me in fueling the life that I want for myself and my family. I am very passionate about. So if you have similar goals or if you have your own reasons of why passive income would support your life and your goals, I want to really cheer you on, support you and be a part of that journey, making it happen for you.
[00:02:16]:
So like I said, I have two little wonders I like to call them or little Wildings. I'm real obsessed with coffee. I have it all day long. Definitely keeps those creative juices flowing. Lover of slow mornings and fast wi fi with my children and I believe that making something pretty doesn't have to be coffee complicated and that's why I use the tools that I have available to me. So let me Know if this sounds familiar, you're creative and you've probably felt one of these things. You have a ton of ideas but you don't know where to start. It's almost overwhelming.
[00:03:00]:
I have all the ideas, but taking the action and actually implementing them can feel overwhelming. Or you jump in, you take the action, but the designing just takes forever and you're still not quite happy with the outcome you have at the end. Or you write product text but you're not happy with it. You need a little support with the copywriting. You're kind of overthinking the words. You're using Canva and the graphics on Canva, but they're just feeling overused or they're not cohesive and they don't go together in the way that you want. Or none of these. But you're just not enjoying your process and you want it to feel easier and more fun or even you want it to be more quick so you can have a quicker turnaround, get those products out.
[00:03:50]:
And the consistency, I know for Etsy especially the consistency is so important to really drive more buyers. Etsy wants to see you posting consistently, so maybe you're just looking for ways to make it happen quicker. So if this sounds like you, you're not alone. This is why I built the maid system, this framework, and this is why I personally use these tools every single day as well. So the main method, this is a four step method. M stands for map. So we're going to start with research. We're not guessing what to make, we're actually going to look at what's trending and I am going to show you a tool that I use to do that and I'm also going to show you how to do that just on Etsy.
[00:04:36]:
If you are an Etsy seller and even if you're not selling on Etsy, you can still use Etsy to get ideas of what's trending. A is for assemble. So we're gonna pull together the clip art that we want to use. We'll put our fonts together, our colors, we'll make our design pretty much, sorry, we won't make our design yet. A is a simple. So we're going to get all of our information together. So this will include the copywriting from ChatGPT, the clip art that we want to be using, and then we will have that all ready to go and then we'll go on to D, which is design. So building the actual product in Canva again using the help of ChatGPT, I'm going to show you how to do that.
[00:05:20]:
And then E is for expand. So now that you've created this great product, how are you able to turn that product into a bundle? Because that's going to allow you to reach a higher average sales volume in your store or wherever you're selling. So it's just going to create higher value for it when it's a bundle altogether. So this works whether you're designing templates, social media, posts, planners, stationery, wall art, really anything, anything that you are designing. I make sales pages so I use this method all the time when I'm making sales pages and funnels. I work as a virtual assistant as well, so I'm constantly using this method myself as well. I love creating the clip art. Sometimes the designing feels harder for me.
[00:06:14]:
So let's dive into the method. So M starts or M is for map. So we're going to start by looking at what's already selling. So I use a tool called Insight Factory which I'm going to show when we dive into the demo. And then you can also use Etsy to look for trends. I find Insight Factory just an amazing tool if you are really focused on growing your digital product business whether you're selling on Etsy or somewhere else. I know that Insight Factory is specifically looking at the stats from Etsy. There are other ones like ever be and I want to say samurai something.
[00:06:54]:
I haven't dived into those tools myself, but I know there are similar tools that also pull up trends from Etsy. But this is really the golden key to not just creating kind of willy nilly and then not having it sell because you can create something so beautiful. But if people aren't looking for it, it's probably not going to show up in their search engines. They're probably never even going to get their eyes on it. So key really is to find something that's trending and then put your own twist onto it. So we'll look into that. So yeah, I kind of wrote here, use trends as an inspiration, not limitation. Let them guide your next bestseller.
[00:07:34]:
And then again we can use ChatGPT for this. So we'll do that together too. Is here's the trend, here's the idea. Now how do we, how do we put it together in a way that's unique and you can kind of brainstorm and come up with those ideas with the AI. So next is a for assemble. Now we would be choosing the clip art that we want to use. So there's tons of clip art available on Etsy. There is elements in Canva as well.
[00:08:04]:
So you're definitely welcome to use the elements in Canva. You just really want to make sure that things are cohesive. So, for example, if you're doing like a heart that is hand drawn and a hand drawn element, maybe it looks kind of like it's drawn with a pencil. You need to make sure that every other element you use looks like it's hand drawn with a pencil. The same thickness, same little shading. And that can be hard to do. Even if you have a pro account, that can still be hard to do. I can show you one trick on Canva, which is the See more like this.
[00:08:36]:
So when you're using an element, you can click the three dots, the ellipses, and press see more like this. And that will help you kind of. It'll help pull up other graphics or if you're looking for photos that are similar. But it's limiting on Canva. So that's why it is nice to purchase a clipart pack that is already cohesive, is already beautiful, and a lot of times it's built for you to be able to do this. So maybe there's a character and it's showing the character in a bunch of different scenes, or it's showing different elements. So maybe you are using hearts, but you also got the stars and you got the other things. Or if you're doing something with an animal, you're going to have all the other little animal friends, for example, or a tree or something to go with the forest.
[00:09:22]:
So a good clip art pack is not going to be just the core thing that it's selling, it's also going to give you supporting elements and imagery that matches the same style. So then when you go to put it together, it's all going to be cohesive and look like it's coming from the same style, which is really important to have a professional looking design at the end. So I'm going to show you some of my tools that I have created that are free to use. So there is the Clipart Creativity GPT that I've created. So I'll show this in the demo, but we'll be able to use this. But if you don't get this, it is free. So I don't see why you don't want to get it, but if you decide not to, you can still prompt your chatgpt the same. It just might not come to the conclusion as quickly.
[00:10:11]:
So really what a custom GPT is, is we are telling it to behave in a specific way. We're giving it knowledge files to pull from so that it can give us the answer that we need quicker. So with the Clipart Creativity GPT, which I'll show you when we get to that, you would upload the Clipart that you want to use, and then it's going to help you come up with ideas from there. And then I have another GPT called the Design Refiner, which we'll get into, and it's going to help us with the design itself. So let's move on to D because that kind of leads us in and this is where we would start designing. So in this case, again, you could use just regular chatgpt, or you can use my Design Refiner, which is on ChatGPT. Again, it's just like programmed a certain way. So this is where we make our design come to life.
[00:10:57]:
This is probably the part that's going to take the longest. This is the part that I know for me can feel a bit overwhelming. And I tend to be a template girl. I really do like to start from a template. And a lot of times what I'll do is I'll start from a template and I'll throw that template into the design refiner and go, okay, based off this idea that I'm trying to create and this template, how can I edit this template? But you can also start from a blank screen as well, especially if you're creating templates to sell. It's not always a great idea to start from a template because that's somebody else's. You kind of want to start from a blank screen. And the Design Refiner is going to help us every step of the way.
[00:11:36]:
I will say also that this will work with a free version of ChatGPT, but only to a point. So when it comes to uploading images onto the free ChatGPT, I'm not sure exactly the limit, but I think it might be like three or five or something. And I don't know if that's a day or like an hour. So it's quite limited. So you will have a better success with this if you have a free paid account, which I think is like $20 a month. So it's quite reasonable, at least for me. Like, it's probably my biggest asset in my business is Chat GPT, so I'm glad it's not a huge cost. But what I would say if you have the free version, is to try and chat, talk it out as much as you can before you start uploading images.
[00:12:24]:
And I'll try to remember to bring that up again when we're actually using it as. And lastly, it's E for expand. So this is where we go back to our chat GBT and we go, okay, thank you for your helping me make this beautiful product. Now how can I turn this into, let's say three to five more items to make a bundle? Because again, bundling similar products together is going to equal higher price point, more value and easier sales. So if I was planning out a jungle themed birthday party, I'm going to want my jungle themed invitation. It's usually what probably the first thing I'll look for because I'm just deciding this is what I'm doing for my kid's birthday. But then I'm going to want all the other little things. I'm going to want the cupcake topper, the topper for my cake.
[00:13:16]:
I'm going to want the little chip bags or I don't even know all the things because I'm not in that niche. But now if I could go and buy a whole package that has all similar, not that it looks exactly the same. So that's the thing with bundles. You don't want to do the exact same thing in but you want it to have like elements that match it and that's a skill that comes with time and again. ChatGPT can help us with that, but you want to have like all these little matching things that look like a cohesive set. Okay, I have my jungle and with the clip art that's going to help. You're going to use the same clip art. Let's say if it was jungle, you're have the lion and the monkey and all these different things.
[00:13:52]:
So it looks like a cohesive set and that's going to be more appealing to a buyer and that's going to be higher sales volume for you. So just to review, we went over the steps. We have map, spot the trend, A assemble your things, grabbing the clipart that you want to use. D is design, put it all together and then E is how can we expand this? So next we're going to look at me kind of demoing how I would actually use this.
