In episode 37, I wanna welcome you to a special podcast series that I'm kicking off entitled the LinkedIn Authority Accelerator Series. These will be short and sweet knowledge episodes. And today, we're going to kick off talking about a crucial topic for any coach or consultant looking to leverage LinkedIn for lead flow and cash flow success, and that is building an authority brand to attract the right clients on LinkedIn. Imagine LinkedIn as this vast ocean of opportunities. Your goal? To become the lighthouse that shines brightly, guiding high-quality leads straight to your doorstep. To become this lighthouse and to get the success you want on LinkedIn, you need to show up consistently, present yourself as an expert in your field, and target a very specific group of people. You know, one of the biggest challenge many coaches and consultants have with LinkedIn is that so many people try to be everything to everyone, and that just doesn't work on LinkedIn. You need to be clear about who you wanna attract and how you wanna be positioned because being vague will just get you lost in the noise.

Chareen Goodman [00:02:34]:
Think about it. LinkedIn boasts over a billion users, so you can't just throw spaghetti at the wall and expect to attract clients or leads to magically stick. You need to be very specific about who you want to attract. That means defining your ideal client profile, understanding their needs, and tailoring your approach accordingly, all while building an authority brand that positions you as an expert. Sounds exciting. Right? But let's first address the elephant in the room, that being, what is the secret sauce to consistently attracting the right clients on LinkedIn? Well, the secret is no secret at all. It's about building yourself as an authority brand. 

Chareen Goodman [00:03:22]:
Okay, I hear the questions already. But, Chareen, where do I even start? How do I actually build that authority brand on LinkedIn? Well, it's a process, but it's worth it. I use and teach clients my authority brand formula. Think of it as your lead map to LinkedIn success. In fact, I created this formula to make the LinkedIn process of consistent lead flow for consistent cash flow a whole lot easier and clearer. So what is the authority brand formula? Well, this is it in a nutshell. [(B+0+C x Ex3) divided by T].

The first element of the formula is branding. First and foremost, you need to clearly define what you stand for. What are your strengths? What problems do you solve? How do you set yourself apart? Your brand identity should be clear, consistent, and easily understood by your targeted audience. And most importantly, it should reflect your unique expertise and value proposition. The second element is optimization. Your LinkedIn profile is your shop window. It needs to be compelling, informative, and tailored to your ideal future client. Make sure it is clear, updated, and includes relevant searchable keywords. But above all, make sure your LinkedIn profile showcases your expertise and positions you as an authority.

The third element of the formula is Content. Not just any generic content, but thought leadership that speaks to your ideal targeted audience. This is where the magic happens. You need to create valuable content that speaks directly to your targeted audience. Your content should share insights, tips, case studies, or even just engaging stories, anything that positions you as an expert and helps you connect with your ideal clients. The 4th element is engagement. Engagement is the lifeblood of your authority brand on LinkedIn, which is amplified through the Triad of Engagement: comments, connection requests, and direct messages.

Don't just post and run. Engage with your audience, participate in relevant discussions, and build relationships. The more you interact, the more you'll be seen and remembered. By initiating insights and conversations, you can deepen relationships, provide personalized insights, and position yourself as a trusted authority in your field. Together, these three engagement activities, comments, connection requests, and direct messages, work in harmony to amplify your engagement and help you establish your authority brand within your industry. The final element of the authority brand formula is time. The time element in the formula means consistent persistence of your efforts. Time acts as a balancing factor, emphasizing that no matter how strong your branding, optimization, content, and engagement may be, they must be sustained over time in order to have a lasting impact. As we wrap up, I want you to envision your LinkedIn presence in the next 3 months.

Picture the connections you'll make, the leads you'll attract, and the clients you'll convert. The authority brand formula is your blueprint to becoming a LinkedIn powerhouse. Remember, success on LinkedIn doesn't happen overnight. It's a journey, and every step you take brings you closer to your goals. Show up regularly, share valuable content, and engage with your audience. The more you do, the more authority you'll build and the more leads you'll generate. So take that first step today. Think about your authority brand, optimize your profile, start creating content, and engage with your audience.
