Hello, everyone, and good morning. Kim, what message do we have today from our lovely selves? I was gonna say something else, but I'm like, no, just yourself.
Okay. I've heard "You've Got Mail" and that old TV show, the old movie with Meg Ryan in it. I think it is. Yeah. Where she's got... Is it that the one? No, no, it's not her. I'm mixing two of them up together. Okay, interesting because I got "You've Got Mail," and I heard "Sleepless in Seattle." Those are two separate movies. They're very old; I don't even remember them. I was young.
She's in both movies. Oh, really? Yeah. Okay. I believe so. Because she popped up in my head, and I don't remember a lot of actresses and actors' names very well unless I see them all the time and stuff.
I feel like I'm getting a mail through email; I'm getting a mail in the mailbox—I'm getting mail all over the place—information, if you want to call it. Oh, I get it. Okay. It's really about how we've been communicating so much through technology, and sometimes it's fun to write a letter—an actual physical letter. I want to actually take some pen and paper, get very creative, and write a pretty note to somebody or even a card and send it in the mail.
Do you remember the feeling you got when you got mail in the actual mail? It's exciting! I get a letter! Yeah! And we've gotten so used to that where we're going... We've gotten so used to the phones and the computers—quick emails, quick responses—and then we're not getting together; we're not interacting with each other in person. So it's like we're communicating over the phone and all this stuff, but we're not actually physically getting together.
So they're showing me: please start just randomly sending letters to people. Try this out! Find somebody that you want to write a letter to; it doesn't matter who it is, and then get to the point where you send a fun one to a close friend and see how they respond—see how they react. It's playing with the communication.
And then make time to get together with people. I've heard it called our world: high tech, low touch. Yeah! And that's what I'm getting out of this is... yeah! When you have technology—it can be awesome—but it can also be very distancing from actual human connection if we don't pay attention.
And that's what I'm hearing: hey, shake it up a little bit! Remember that it really is absolutely thrilling to truly connect with someone else! Yeah! And I think technology could possibly do it, but it's just so different. It's like comparing typing on a computer keyboard to handwriting—you know? They both can produce a result, but the experience is just very distinct.
Your energy gets put into what you're writing; it's like a huge healing vibration that goes into the words and into the pen that you are literally creating with. It's just marvelous is what I'm hearing.
Yeah, I love that word! So yes, they're writing little love notes to each other at work—Post-it notes! Oh yeah! Oh, that's fun! Appropriately—but yes, very fun.
Thank you, Jill! Thank you everyone! Thank you, Kim! And here's to writing some sweet, lovely love notes to at least someone! Yep!
Okay, well, until next...
