Hello, everyone. And good morning, Kim. Good morning, Jill. Good morning, everyone.
Well, Jill and I have been experiencing a lot of people's pains recently. That's what I want to call it. We both have felt some weird, energetic head pains and neck pains between yesterday and starting today. As I woke, I had a headache kicking in and thought that was very odd. I thought of all the stuff that I could have done to make it cause a headache, and I thought, no. I didn’t judge it; I went with it. I just started asking questions in my head: what do you need? What do you want?
A song came into my head, and the song was "Don't Give Up on Me" by Andy Grammer. Andy Grammar, I think is his name. Grammar— I didn’t get it right. He did good. When that song started playing in my head, my headache was going away. I was like, oh! Then I was talking to Jill; she was talking about what she was feeling recently. Wow, this is interesting! This isn’t just our own; this is a collective piece of pain and frustration. It could be the anxieties that people are really going through right now.
As she was talking, that song popped up in my head really loud again, and then everything died down. So there’s something very powerful about that song that I would love everybody to go and listen to today: "Don't Give Up on Me." Just listen to it. And I want to tell you that no one will give up on you; if anything, you give up on yourself.
I want to say listen to that song—that song! It’s you talking to you; it’s your soul speaking to you. It’s your higher self talking to God, higher source—however you want to define it, whatever your belief system is—I will follow you. It’s like you are telling yourself, “I will follow you. I will hear you. I will listen to you.” Like, don’t give up on yourself; we’re not going to give up on you.
That’s kind of like—even though we have this pain—you don’t have to throw in the towel. You don’t have to say like, “Oh, it’s always going to be here; it’s never going to go away; I'm always stuck with the same problem.” It doesn’t have to be that way; it can change! It can shift! Yeah.
And even when it doesn’t sometimes, it’s still different than what it was in the past. So to stay out of that trap—and that’s a big one—I used to put myself in comparing what is happening right now with the past. In these last 24 hours, Kim, I've been just very present with what's been going on. That comparison to the past amps it up and makes it worse; by not doing that, it just was and is what it is.
Even in its difficulty, it’s fascinating; it's curious—it’s just experiencing life in all of its wholeness and fullness—even the things that we don’t tend to love.
Do we love pain? It doesn’t matter—here I am! Here we were and are! And yeah—don’t give up!
I love that—don’t give up on me! Like that—it’s like a deep connection into our own hearts saying don’t give up on me! Like you said—it’s ourselves talking to ourselves: don’t give up on yourself—you got this! Yeah!
Listen to the song; it's so sweet—so sweet.
Okay, thank you, Jill. Thank you everyone. Thank you, Kim. And it's Friday when we're recording here, so enjoy your weekend! Be kind to yourself; love yourself; listen to sweet music.
Yep! Okay—until next time!
