Hello, everyone, and good morning, Kim. Good morning, Jo. Good morning, everyone.
Today's message has been ringing in my head for probably a good half hour. I keep hearing that you are on the verge of breaking through. You are on the verge of greatness. I kept hearing phrases like this with excitement. It's not like you're going to jump off a cliff; it's more about those pieces you've been putting together. Yes, they brought up puzzle pieces last week or the week before—all these little things. You're on the verge.
Then there's that song where they talk about "Jesus, take the wheel." I can't remember the singer; it's like a country singer or lady. Oh yes, Carrie Underwood sings that one. That song came up in another talk as well.
This message is more about letting go. You're trying too hard now, wanting to make things happen right away. You've put in all this work, and now some of you are getting a little frustrated. I felt a chill when I mentioned that—getting frustrated because it's not happening in the time frame you want, or you have all the puzzle pieces and know they fit together, but for whatever reason, one just does not want to fit—even though you know it goes right there.
Some of you are stubborn enough to try and force it into that spot, but it keeps popping back out at you. Nope! I need you to step away. Walk away—basically let go. Just get your mind off of it; occupy yourself with something different. Walk away for a little while because it needs time to build up its energy and strength. All that energy you've thrown into it is like trying to push air into something that needs to fit into a tiny box while you're forcing it into a huge one.
Give it time to expand and flow. When you come back to it, all of a sudden, the puzzle piece pops in. Now I feel like I'm on a computer; suddenly I'm clicking, and boom—the next screen's loading before I've even hit that button 50 times like, "Come on, come on, load!" And it's just not loading. I walked away, did something different—could have been a few hours or even a few days; it doesn't matter—but when I came back and hit that button, boom! It loaded just like that.
That's what we're talking about when we say you're on the verge of greatness. Do not push it! You're trying too hard; it's going to get frustrating, and the energy will stop—it'll just sit there. You need to walk away.
There’s also a song by Nina Simone where she starts singing and then stops to tell everyone in the band, "You're pushing it! You're pushing it!" They restart the song because she was so tuned in to the movement of the music they were creating. I heard that for the first time decades ago and still remember it clearly. As you were talking, I could hear her voice saying, "You're pushing it! You're pushing it!" It just doesn’t come out as well when you push it.
You have to let it have its rhythm, its flow, its energy. It's a skill to do that—definitely a skill! She literally stopped in front of people during a live recording and had everyone pause; many would just keep going with that kind of pressure.
It's an important skill to learn how to say, "I gotta stop."
Wow! Yeah! I can sense everyone taking a deep breath and saying, "Okay, okay! You're okay!"
Well, thank you, Kim. Thank you, Jo. Thank you, everyone.
All right until next time!
