Lovely listeners and good morning, Kim. Good morning, Jo. Good morning everyone.
Today's message has a lot to do with grasping at straws. I'm getting the image of somebody who has a whole bunch of straws in front of them, and it's like you might grab the short end, the short straw, or the short stick, and feel like a. But I'm also reaching. I have hope that, oh, please don't pick me, don't pick me. You know, you've got a whole group of people and you're just like, you know, you gotta go into this; you gotta go into this place that you're gonna feel lonely and whatever that looks like to you. But you're like, I don't want to feel lonely. I don't want to go into loneliness.
Okay, so everybody else gets to have fun and I get to be lonely. So you're looking at the straws and you're like, which one? I don't want this; I don't want that. Okay, so that's your mindset. You're like, what? I don't want? And then you pick the short straw and it's a lonely straw and you're like, this is what I didn't want. And then you get frustrated. You go, well, you picked it; you matched the vibration of it. So there you go. Everyone goes off and has fun and you're stuck at home being lonely while everybody else is having fun. And you're just like, I didn't like this. I don't want to do this.
And they're like, right then and there, prior to pulling that straw, you already were putting out the vibration of what you don't want that attracted it. So today I want you to pay attention to those things that you are inadvertently saying you don't want because those are the things that are going to come more into fruition for you; those are going to come into your life. You're going to actually pick that inadvertently without even knowing—subconsciously you're just like, wait, what?
So if you pick something that you maybe do not like today, maybe look back and think about how you were thinking about that situation. So these other people are like, eh—they're already thinking about how they're going to have fun. They're not thinking about the lonely room; they're thinking about, oh man, we get to go do this tonight; we get to do that—like oh! And they're excited and they're like yeah; they're not thinking about the lonely room. Those are the people that picked the ones that got to go have fun tonight while you were in your mindset thinking, I don't want to do that.
So there's a lot to do with mindset today on how you're thinking about things and how you're attracting it. Yeah, I like that. And what we don't want does have value; it's just that we shouldn't fixate on it. The value is that most people, if you ask them what they want, will kind of hesitate but can instantly tell you what they don't want. Yep.
And that's the value of “don't want”—it's like we know it; we know it well—but we have to be willing to flip it real fast. All right, I know what I don't want: I don't want to be lonely; in this case, I don't want this short straw. Then we flip it! So then what do you want? You want the opposite of that.
So it's really valuable that way because it gives you definition on what you want very quickly; it's just a lot of times we don't take that step. And earlier this week we talked about taking a step step by step—that's a really good step to take! And like you said Kim, if you find yourself reflecting today on manifesting something you didn't want—that's okay too! Yep! You just look at it and learn from it and go okay—perhaps I stayed a little too long focusing on what I don’t want—so try and flip a little sooner.
