Hello, lovely listeners. And good morning, Kim. Good morning, Jill. Good morning, everyone.

Well, Kim and I were chatting before the call here, and I had brought up alligators. Yeah. Which were in a dream that I had quite a few nights ago, about five nights ago, I think. And I had totally, like, dismissed the symbol of them because alligators just really aren't a big part of my life where I live and so on.

And anyway, this morning, it just kept coming to me. And it was actually a very beautiful scene in the dream. And the alligator was, like, looking over its shoulder. I was like, flying. So it's in the air and the alligator's looking over its shoulder, like up at me. So it was even kind of a... almost like a friendly gesture, like, what are you doing up there? You know, I mean, clearly an alligator can't necessarily be threatening something that's flying overhead. Right? So there was no threat, none of that stuff.

And anyway, I had easily dismissed it because, you know, you don't think of alligators as being friendly or helpful. We have, I'd say, kind of like a deep-seated fear of them in us. And I really let that just kind of unconsciously rule me until this morning. I was like, well, what's the meaning of alligators?

And it's really quite interesting. Kim, you picked up a couple of messages instantly.

Yeah, it's more like strength. Like that's kind of what the main one I felt out of it—like strength.

Oh, the word confidence also just popped up in my head.

Oh, I wasn't expecting that one.

Yeah, there's like emotional resilience was one that I found when I was looking it up. And I was like, oh, that makes sense. But they're—you know—what we think of as very kind of thick skin on an alligator.

Yes.

Yep. So I think the broader message to everyone is really the surprising messages that we can so easily dismiss because I brushed that aside. I remembered the dream; I told you about the dream, Kim. I remembered some other aspects of it and was there. And this morning I was like—that alligator scene was very front and center and it took me like five days to go oh my gosh—the alligator.

Yeah.

How many other people are having... like okay if you fear an alligator... okay are they... It's not necessarily fear because we both know—and you even were saying it earlier when we're talking—fear is not a thing. It's just something that's made up. It's not truth.

So if fear's made up... so if we have this fear against an alligator... Are we fearing that emotional support? Are we fearing that thick skin? Do we feel like we don't have thick skin? Oh—you know—not necessarily you Jill—but just in general for people to understand.

Exactly. Also sometimes we fear the messages we get.

What's so interesting Kim is there was not a stitch of any fear of anything in that dream whatsoever—all the fear around say an alligator—an alligator message—thick skin—anything... Like we said it's completely in my mind—it was not in the original experience at all—did not exist in that dream.

Yep.

And then also I just throw it out there—like gentleness to people—to give yourself some time because sometimes it does take five days; sometimes it takes five weeks; sometimes it just takes some time to get the message.

To get the message.

But today was the perfect day for that—for fear—for some reason—and how made up it is in our brains.

And obviously there are some situations in life that do bring on legitimate fears: If in a situation you're fearful and you need to get out—get out—you know honor it. But the vast majority of fear in our lives—like 99.9% of it—is literally in our brains.

4.
4.
Oh it is—we make it up—we make it up.

Like I was sharing with you earlier too—I heard about it being called overactive imagination—so perhaps when you're having fears or having that stuff come up—you just remind yourself: You know what? It may just be overactive imagination.

And Kim—you had shared how you talk yourself through situations quite effectively making your choice.

Yeah—a lot of times I just kind of like: What are you doing? Like if I didn't get to make a choice where we're gonna go—I could sit there and stomp my feet and get angry or upset and be like this wasn't my choice—or right in that moment—I can make a different decision and say: Guess what? I can't control that but I can control my attitude—and I actually start calling myself out on my behavior that I'm starting to put out there already.

Exactly—and that's what I'm going to keep getting back if I keep stomping my feet.

Yep—and the same thing with overactive imagination—we can do that exact same thing and call ourselves out: Hey imagination is being really overactive right now; I'm calling myself out; I need to dial down the imagination; I'm going to make a different choice and use my imagination to a different end—to a different result—and...

It's... it's like—it sounds so many things we talk about Kim—it sounds so simple—that I think there's something in our human self that says: That can't possibly work—but it does—it works.

Yep—it works.

And this morning—as we started talking about the alligator and all the other things—I could feel that really beautiful calm peaceful energy from that dream coming back in and like—the fear going away—and I prefer to create the peaceful and beautiful and calm.

If I'm going to use my overactive imagination—I want to go that way.

Exactly—I love it!

All right—very cute chills—we went from alligators dreams to fears to overactive imagination—I like this one today.

Yeah resetting for some reason from—in my brain resetting—

Ooh—I like that!

Could it just be a brain reset?

Yep—that would be a beautiful summary Kim—I love that! I'm using that today and tomorrow and the next day!

Cool—all right well thank you—

Yeah thank you Jill thank you everyone—all right till next time!
