Hello, lovely listeners and good morning, Kim. Good morning, Jill. Good morning everyone.
Today's message, that's Wednesday rainy morning, is the word forgetting kept coming to my head and trying to figure out what the heck were they trying to say with the word forgetting. And it came up with, there are things that mean that we experience in the past and you just kind of forget that experience and then the experience can come back around and you see it differently. You might be more excited to see it now. You might have a different viewpoint, different perception. You actually might get excited to see it now where in the past you might have been like, ah, it's just normal everyday prints. Or it's just like, oh, okay, yep, I've seen that before, no big deal.
But today it's like a thing that you kind of forgot. It's reinventing, it's re coming back around and you're going to have an opportunity to see it a little bit differently.
And then Jill showed or was sharing earlier about the birds that just showed up at our house. And it's like they do it every year, but this year they were very prominent for you.
Yeah, I see them every year, but I don't see them how they presented themselves yesterday. They perched on these wires yesterday, which I had never seen before, and there was a hundred plus of them. So there was a lot. And it really was a very magical experience and it was sustained. It went on for a few hours.
And they're not around today. I can look at that same wire where they were perched and it's just so you do—you forget. You forget the magic of it very, very fast. If they come back, all of that will come back more intensely. I can now use my memory to kind of resurrect some of it.
But yeah, there's just a—the forgetting piece, Kim. What I get out of it is like when these beautiful things are coming back around and happening for us, like the message that I get is to really give it its time in that moment.
Yeah. Like that experience with the birds may occur again, but it may not ever occur again. And I could have just been too busy and moved on and not noticed it.
Yesterday would have been kind of hard to miss, but it could have been.
Yeah. And I really did take time to just marvel at it multiple different times because it was beautiful.
Yeah, awesome. She did send me a picture, you guys. It was pretty cool sitting up there.
Like, yeah, they're so cute.
So it's so funny because the word forgetting—it's more like almost a negative where it's like let's stop forgetting—not forgetting. I'm not sure how to say it.
The message isn't to forget; the message is that we are forgetting.
Yes.
I know when the word was coming through, I was actually kind of confused because I thought, what am I forgetting? Am I forgetting something? Are people forgetting something? And I went right honestly right into the negative.
And that's what we do as a society—we think something's wrong right away with forget.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's just a sweet reminder like you're not forgetting anything. Take a look around though and do take moments today to see what's right in front of us and to see what's coming back and you know it's like a gentle nudge.
Love it. Love you too.
Yeah. Thank you.
Yeah. Thank you.
All right, until next time.
