Episode Summary

Finding Miraculous Flow by Standing Still

Today, Kim and Jill dive into a spontaneous and heartfelt conversation inspired by their recent dreams. Both share stories of miracles—unexpected events that defy logic yet feel natural and calm. The discussion weaves through themes of stillness, flow, and the subtle magic that happens when we let go of control.

Key Takeaways

  • Miracles Happen Quietly: Sometimes miraculous shifts occur not with chaos or drama but with surprising serenity.
  • Standing Still vs. Hustling: True productivity and transformation can happen when we're present—not frantically pushing or seeking validation, but simply allowing things to unfold.
  • Inspired by Dreams & Music: A recurring dream theme for both hosts is mirrored in Jewel’s song “Standing Still,” highlighting the paradoxical power of non-action.
  • Childlike Openness: Letting go of anxious energy (“Do you like me?”) opens space for authentic connection and effortless flow.
  • Being Present Is Powerful: By releasing judgment (of ourselves or others) during daily tasks, we create room for unexpected blessings.

Reflective Prompt

Take time today to notice where you might be hustling for approval or overthinking your actions. What would it feel like to just stand still—to do what needs doing without extra mental noise? Watch as small miracles begin to appear in everyday moments.

Closing Thoughts

Kim and Jill encourage listeners to embrace this concept—even if it feels hard to describe—and experiment with being present throughout the day. Sometimes letting life unfold is where the real magic lies.

“We never could have planned this topic… sometimes you just have to roll with what shows up.”

Thanks for listening! Until next time 🌟

Hello, lovely listeners, and good morning, Kim. Good morning, Jill. Good morning, everyone. Today we have a few messages, I think, that are coming through. Okay. It's kind of like a hodgepodge of a couple things that Jill and I are trying to figure out. So we were trying to come up with a, like, unified theme, and finally we were like, yeah, no, let's just go with it. So there might be a few little messages for lots of you today, I'm guessing.

So dreams were a theme, and some of the things that were coming up in the dreams were sticking with us. So then when they stick with us, we know that there's some resonance with other people. So mine was a. Basically a miracle that happened. Something that was not supposed to happen at all. Totally happened. And we're like, wow, it was actually really cool. It wasn't frightening at all, but it actually happened. And we're just like, oh, is this even possible? It's like, well, I don't even know how it's possible, but it did.

I don't have to go into the details of what that exactly was, but it's just the fact that there was a miracle that happened. And, Jill, you had and, you know, kidnapped structures. Yeah. My dream was actually a miracle as well as you say that. It was more. Yours was more, like, organic, and mine was more structures and systems and, you know. But it was a miracle. It was miraculous how it shifted in the dream, now that I think about it.

Yeah. Things that weren't supposed to happen happened. And the way they happened. They weren't supposed to happen that way. And yet now in your dream, was everyone very, like, calm and just like... Yeah, that's how it was about. Everyone was just like, okay. And, I mean, I'm telling you, this shift in my dream—everywhere else that I've seen it throughout history and stories and everything else—this should have been just a shit show. And people are just like: it's good; it's all good.

Yep. Miracle.

And that's where—and there's another—not another—but there was a song that was popping up when I woke up, and it's still in my head. And this is where we get a little confused: with this song... Standing Still by Jewel.

Yeah.

I kept hearing...

What part?

I kept hearing in my head: Do you... Do you love me? Where am I standing? Do you need... Do you... Yep... Do you need me? Like I need you or am I standing still? That's what I kept hearing in my head.

And then it's like: do you... And I thought it said "love me," but it's "want me," but it doesn't matter.

Yeah.

And then standing still—it's like: oh! So if we're standing still—we're not in the hustle and the bustle—all that stuff—but we just stand still—we can see those miracles; we're allowing those miracles to just play out; you're not... Right? You're involved but you're not involved; you're just standing still.

Right.

And then also—like sometimes when you're so tuned in to that kind of miraculous energy—you can be doing so many things at once! We've all seen people—maybe we've all experienced ourselves—but we've definitely seen people where you just look at them: you're like how do you possibly do that much? They're actually... It's kind of like—you know this when we know planets and so on at the—they're moving but it conveys that they're not moving; it conveys that they're still but they're not still; they're going so fast it seems still.

Like I've seen people who do that where your jaw drops and they list out—the 85 million things they've done that week—

Yep.

But they're not frazzled; they're very still; they're very calm; they're very like "it's no big deal." And you're like: what?! That's amazing amount of stuff! Again—it's kind of—I think the theme here is a little bit miraculous because it conveys miraculous—like they're getting all these things done but they're not hammering away at it; they're not frazzled; they're not—you know—they're not going "oh my God I'm so overwhelmed." They're just like good with it—like it's... There it is—it's just happening—it seems like they're standing still! It's very confusing to wrap the head around because it seems like they're standing still but they're knocking stuff out right and left—and the mind is like: what?! How's that work exactly?

Yep.

Yeah.

And then getting pointed to the—I hear childlike energy of—not in a bad way here—do you want me like I want you? So I get pulled to elementary school: do you like me? Like do you love me? I love you! Can we be friends? You want me to have a boyfriend? It's like that energy where I'm putting out there—I'm trying to ask somebody if they like me—I like you; do you like me back or am I standing still?

So it's like that energy of "I want you—I want you to like me"—that's going away...

Yep.

And it's going into the standing still...

Yeah.

Things just naturally flow...

Right.

It's a very miraculous energy; it's been called being "in the flow"—there's lots and lots of phrases for it—it's though—that there is a miraculousness to it because it's like it goes on its own and does so much—and our job is—like you said—to stand still; it's not to get swept away in it or this or that—it's... It's wild!

This is something just to sit with today and go: what are these two talking about?

Yep.

Because it's a concept that's actually challenging to put into words; it's something to experience.

Yep.

Okay! So you're gonna—you’re basically going about your day like normal—and not—not trying to judge it—all the fun things that we've said in the past—you’re just there—you’re just present in the moment—and you're doing your job—you have to answer the phone calls—whatever—you have to do a task—and you're just doing the job—and you're just being in the moment of it—you're not judging it—you’re not criticizing the person around you—you’re just with it...

Okay?

There's not a whole lot of emotions there—but you're just... You're doing your job...

Okay?

And that's part of standing still—sounds really weird—but that's part of the standing still—you’re not being involved—you’re not going above and beyond with what I call "the extras," the criticism—the judgments: Are you doing a good job? Do you like what I'm doing? Do you not like what I'm doing? Da da da da...

You're just there doing your job—and then you're just with it—and you can see miracle things all of a sudden unfold right in front of you—things that you didn't even think were imaginable are also showing up...

Yep.

Yep!

All right! That's what we're gonna hold the space for today...

Yeah!

Wow! Nice that we just rolled with this one Kim because I don't think we ever would have come up with that one on our own—that just had done bold...

Exactly!

Awesome! Well thank you Kim!

Yeah! Thank you Jill Thank you everyone!

Thanks for listening—and until next time...
