Show Notes: Embracing the Unexpected—Messages, Surprises & Emotional Flow
Hosts: Jill and Kim
Podcast: One Harmonicle
Episode Highlights
Live from Florida (and Minnesota!):
Kim joins us poolside in sunny Florida while Jill braves the cold in Minnesota. The weather difference sets a playful tone—and an apt metaphor for today’s topic.
Surprises from Spirit:
Inspired by a recent surprise visit to her sister, Jill dives into how life (and our higher selves) often deliver surprises—not always wrapped as we expect.
Sometimes guidance feels fun and joyful; other times it challenges us deeply.
The Power of Asking—And Letting Go of Judgment:
Two key practices:
Ask for what you need or want.
Don’t judge how the answers arrive.
Real growth comes when we allow information “into” our experience—even if it’s uncomfortable or unexpected.
Real-Life Examples: Credit Cards & Caregiving:
From minor frustrations like credit card hiccups to major family health concerns, solutions may not show up as hoped—but they do come with truth attached.
Kim shares about supporting her mom through difficult medical advice—a process that triggered emotional turbulence but ultimately led to clarity and healing.
Emotional Flow & Acceptance:
Resistance often amplifies suffering. Accepting your reaction (“I didn’t like this”) is part of moving energy forward—as illustrated by a spontaneous waterfall at Kim's location!
Discernment vs. Expectation:
Every answer contains some truth, even if it's not what you wanted to hear.
Use discernment on what resonates and let go of rigid expectations.
Universal Experience—You’re Not Alone!
We all face moments where reality doesn’t match expectation. It’s normal to feel upset, stuck, or confused before finding peace again.
Support from trusted friends can help restore clarity when emotions run high.
Key Takeaways
Information arrives in many forms; embrace curiosity over judgment.
Allow yourself (or loved ones) their authentic reactions without shame or guilt—it moves energy and opens new paths forward.
Playfulness helps transform frustration into opportunity for deeper understanding and growth.
Energy Transmission & Healing
Jill and Kim remind listeners that beyond words lies an energetic transmission—tune into the vibration if details overwhelm you. Ask your guides for further clarity; trust that insight will come in its own way!
“It’s the essence here that matters.”
Thank You For Listening!
Stay curious, keep asking—and remember every episode carries a little healing magic just for you.
Until next time, Jill & Kim

Hello, lovely listeners, and good morning, Kim. Good morning, Jill. Good morning, everyone. It's Jill and Kim with one harmonicle. And Kim is coming from you live for us. Recording. I'm in Florida. Wonderful the weather down here when up in Minnesota, you guys are freezing cold.
Oh, she's rubbing it in a little bit. How does that information feel coming at you? The truth exactly right. Oh, my goodness. No. I. Some of you may know, well, quite a few know that my sister lives in Florida, so she throws epic Halloween party. So I decided to surprise my sister and on Friday we talked about surprises and how your spirit guides your higher self is coming through on trying to surprise you with things.
And it's information coming through that you need to hear or that you've asked to hear that you had kind of an inkling on something and then it's presented to you and it's like, okay, what do you do with that information? Sometimes it's really fun, like surprising my sister. Yeah. And other times it's not as fun and pretty and beautiful. Exactly.
That's the. So we're always. There's a couple things that we ask people or talk about a lot. One is for people to ask, ask. Right. And the other one is to not judge. Now, these things sound very easy. And they are initially. And then when you really start, like allowing, if you will, information, say to come into you, into you, not around you, not near you, into you and into your experience, that's where we need a little more skill development is what I would say.
Okay. So yeah, asking and then not judging. And a lot of times if we've asked a question like I need some help with something, you know, I need a solution to show up. And what's funny is that solution, it'll show up, but it's just as likely for it to show up in a way that we would absolutely love and be thrilled about as it is to show up in a way that's the exact opposite of that, that we really will not like or enjoy, you know, so it could come in either form and then anything in between.
We tend to have this expectation that when I ask for something to show, it's going to show up in a way that I'm going to love. Yep, yep. I do think you can get there. But it's like training, like you have to train yourself into that.
If you're just throwing out a question and going, well, here's a concrete example. So my credit card got nabbed again. You know how your credit cards gets, you know, and then it Gets shut down.
So now I'm going to be without this particular credit card again. It's, I mean, one of those things where it's like the third time it's happened over the course of months, and it's my primary credit card.
And so I was just throwing it out there. I have a few things that I wanted to take care of this week that would have required that credit card.
And so I was just throwing it out there. Like, I have other options, but what's the better option Do I need? You know,
And I started, like, ticking through the options in my head and I was like, no,
you know what? I'm just going to ask.
I'm going to ask the universe,
if you will,
what's the option?
But now it's a matter of staying open
to seeing the solutions
that are,
say,
the best solutions coming forward.
And the best solution might not be the easiest.
It might take more time.
It might be something that I say,
don't like,
because it's like,
oh,
crap,
I thought it was going to be an easy solution.
And here it's going to take all this time,
and I don't have this time.
I didn't want to put this time into it.
That's a very,
very minor example.
I know.
Because if we're talking about,
say,
a credit card,
it's a pretty minor little detail.
But if we're talking about,
you know,
like,
in my case,
I have a mom who has some memory
and different things going on with her health,
that would be a much bigger ask
and a much more,
you know,
like,
lot more detail
to pay attention to in that one.
Say,
then how do I deal with this credit card?
Yep.
And like,
you were sharing with your mom how she was asking.
They were asking for,
in their mind,
a support.
They were asking for clarity.
They were asking,
you know,
a medical professional for information,
basically.
Okay.
Information and support.
Because it has to come through that person.
That's how the system works.
It has to come through that person.
Yeah.
So they went and they got information,
they got a support,
just not in the way
that they thought
that they were going
to get it.
Yeah.
And your mom
very unhappy
with it.
Yeah.
And it's like,
well,
you asked.
And if there's
that inkling of,
like,
your mom being upset
with it sometimes
that is.
We need
that
to push ourselves
to do what we.
There's something about.
Okay,
here what I'm getting
is there's something about
that information
that is very truthful.
Very truthful.
And you were just shown,
you were just told
the Truth.
And that's something inside
that you didn't actually want
to believe.
You did not want
to believe
that was truth.
And all of a sudden somebody's telling you
that this is the truth.
And sometimes if it hits you
that hard,
that is something
that you get the pleasure,
you get the experience
to actually work through.
It's a positive thing.
It's a good thing.
I don't know if you just heard something turn on behind me.
Yeah.
So,
side note,
my sister has a pool.
Yeah.
And I'm sitting outside and all of a sudden the waterfall system just started flowing through as we're saying this.
Yeah.
Water flowing.
Water is emotions.
Yep.
So it's funny that the timing of that,
Kim,
because what I was thinking,
what I wanted to share,
is that when this information came to my mom through this medical advice,
she didn't like the information.
Where her emotional flow was very stuck and backed up,
is that she had.
This is.
My mom had a reaction,
a response to this information,
and she didn't like it,
which was her reaction.
It was legit.
It's really what was going.
It was her experience,
I should say.
But she also then had a whole lot of training through life that you shouldn't do that,
you shouldn't disrespect,
say,
a medical professional who's telling you something.
You need to listen to what they have to say.
Okay.
So she ended up in this emotional internal battle over the information she thought she was.
She had expectations she was going to get information that she liked.
It turned out it wasn't information she didn't like.
Then she didn't like that.
Then she was mad at herself.
Then she.
I would.
I can't speak for her experience,
but I would guess she was,
like,
doing.
She was feeling maybe some shame,
maybe feeling some guilt because she's not seeing.
She's supposed to just listen to this medical professional.
But it really upset my mom.
And so when I found this out,
my mom's telling me this,
I just affirmed for her,
I said,
you didn't like the information and you didn't like the message.
And I said,
that was your experience and that's okay.
You don't have to like it.
And I could.
That's when the water started flowing.
It
like
shot out
and then just started flowing.
And I could see all of my mom's energy start moving again.
And like you said,
Kim,
it was contrast.
I'm like,
then
that means we go another direction.
We go
and talk
to someone else,
and we go
and find other stuff
until we get what
it is
the truth,
if you will,
that my mom is looking for.
Yep.
The information.
Asking for the information
and having it come
to us isn't always
so clear cut
and simple.
Because
a lot of times,
I think
the point
of what we're saying here
is
a lot of times
the information we get,
we initially may not like it.
Yep.
But there.
There really is
a truth
to it.
Yeah.
Every information
that comes
to you,
you actually asked for it.
Did it come in the way
you wanted it
to?
No,
maybe not.
Maybe it did.
It doesn't matter.
There is some truth
to it.
Now we get
to use discernment.
And what does
that.
What do we do
with
that
information?
And
I think that's what people get so lost in.
Like your mom got lost in it.
Yeah.
And it stirred up all these emotions inside of her instead of just saying,
okay,
that's what
that doctor said.
Okay,
okay,
that's cool.
Like,
that's what she knows,
that's what she believes in.
I asked for information.
That's what I got.
Okay,
cool.
Yep.
She got lost.
She got lost.
And then she needed some help from others that she knows and trusts to help her get clarity again.
And she did get clarity.
And some of the reason why she was getting lost is because the emotions were ticking up,
the judgment was ticking up,
her mind was spinning on her.
And I'm not like I share this about my mom simply because what she does is what she did with this is very universal.
It's a very common response.
And we could remove her as the character,
if you will,
from the story and put any one of us in there.
We've done this.
When we get information,
we had expectation
it was going
to be good
and helpful
and we were
going
to like
it.
And
it turns out
it's the exact opposite.
But
it's actually
like
you said,
Kim,
it's truthful.
And so there is kindness in it.
You might have
to look for
the kindness,
but
to me,
the kindness
was
to look at
her
and go,
it's okay.
That's
the response
you had.
That's
your experience.
That's
truth.
That's
information.
That's
helpful.
Let's use
that
and do
something
with
it.
Yep.
That's
what we're seeing.
The beauty part.
Yes.
That's
the beautiful part.
Yeah.
Kim,
you're masterful at
that.
But that's probably another podcast.
Yeah.
Yes.
Yeah.
Everything.
Everything works beautifully when
you just allow,
like
the water just randomly flowing.
It was literally.
It's kind of
like divine intervention
that occurred.
Did we really ask for
it?
No.
But
it played off of our energy.
That was
a.
That
we are experiencing.
Yeah,
things happen all the time.
And once
you recognize
all
the little things
around
you,
it just gives
you
a clue as
to what energy are
you putting out there.
What are
you in alignment with?
Do
you like
it or
you do?
And
it becomes playful.
If
you
like
it
or
you
don't
doesn't stop
you.
It's not
like
oh
I don't
like
that one.
Now
I'm going
to stop.
And
it becomes playful,
like oh
I don't
like
that one.
Okay
so
what does
that mean?
Now
what are
we going
to do
with this?
So pay attention
to the signs
and the stuff that's going on around you.
Pay attention
to the information
and the answers
that you're getting.
And also pay attention
to if you can stay in that curiosity and that wonder and that playfulness about it,
or if you can't.
I just got,
like,
a really good sense of peace throughout my whole entire body.
I love this.
I love these things.
Every time we talk,
I get a healing effect that goes through my body,
a sense of peace.
So again,
you want to just listen,
Turn this down too.
If you're like oh I'm getting too much.
Too many words.
Turn it down and just listen.
Feel the vibration is coming through.
Jill.
And I say this all the time.
There is energy healing
that comes through,
and there's definitely a lot in this one too.
There's an energy transmission and an energy healing
that comes through every time.
And yeah,
the words.
If it's not.
If your.
If your mind is not wrapping around your head isn't wrapping around
the words or
the message
like exactly Kim said
just tune into
the vibration
tune into
the energy
and then also make your request.
Ask
to be shown
the clarity
of
it
because
the message will come
to use another way
then too
because that's
the essence here
that matters.
It's
the essence
of
it.
Oh nice.
Yawning moving energy.
All right thank you Joe.
Thank you everyone.
Yes thank you Kim.
Thank you everyone for listening.
Until next time.
