  • "Make it all up your way out there…but when you look back, it's not made up because you're looking at what's real right now."
  • "Stress is actually taking us away from who we want to be."

Call-to-action:

Listeners are encouraged to take some quiet time after listening—to imagine themselves far into the future—and look back upon their lives today asking questions like “Am I proud?” “Is this what I want?”

Hello, lovely listeners, and good morning, Kim. Good morning, Jill. Good morning, everyone. We're gonna take it back forward to the past lives or future.

Past lives. Okay. Yeah. I was on a tangent this morning. I have a whole bunch of thoughts, and what came out of it was: Say it's a hundred, two hundred years from now. You're living a whole different lifestyle, more futuristic. Yep. All the fun stuff. And you're sitting there, I wonder who I was in a past life.

So we're 100 years in the future. Right now we're pretending we're 100 years in the future. Yep. Okay. I'm just catching up with you. I was, like, listening to go. Okay, wait a second. Imagination, Jill. Okay. I'm in the future. I get it. Got all the technology stuff around me. New stuff. Yeah. Cool.

Okay. And somebody's like, hey, I have this really cool tool that'll help your brain understand how to see a past life. And you're like, oh, my gosh, this is so cool. Like, I want to do it. Okay. It's kind of fun.

So here you are sitting there, and you're tapping in your past life, and you get pulled to the life that you're living right now. Okay. And you're looking at it. You're like, huh? Why? I wasn't somebody famous. Well, it wasn't this person or man.

I thought I would be doing something different.

Oh, like really? Like, my life was pretty boring.

And then other people might be like, wow, my life wasn't very stressful at all.

Like, that seemed very easy back then.

Well, that was a piece of cake.

Like, I didn't have any traumas.

Even though you in your current state right now—so we're going to jump back and forth—so in your current state right now, so you're living presently now; you're listening to me right now; if you were to look around in your life right now and you would say, like, oh my gosh, life is stressful.

Who?

I have this going on.

I have all this stuff happening all at once.

I have this thought and this thought, and this thing is happening da da da da da.

And I just say it's just chaos all around.

And maybe you're going through some really shitty situation in life right now and you're just like how do people keep themselves sane?

And now let's jump forward to 200 years from now.

And here you are perceiving your life completely different.

And I want to—and I'm hearing—check yourself.

Go now and check yourself.

Do you like what you are designing right now that you are going to be looking back 200 years from now and saying like wow?

I want you 200 years from now to look back and say like dude I lived a great life.

Yeah there are some stresses in there but like look at what I accomplished.

I like who I was.

Like that there was—I—yeah there was some stresses but it wasn’t that bad.

Like I managed; I did this; I did that.

Like how proud are you?

Or if you're thinking right now like oh I don't feel that then change it.

Rewrite your story.

That is a really cool perspective—to go out like a hundred or two hundred years.

I've heard various people do future self visualizations and practices that kind of thing but I have always heard future self like as future self of this lifetime.

Personally I've never heard anyone do future self as you know like hundreds of years in the future looking back at this life and going you know which is really cool because it shifts the perspective like big time.

Like we're kind of off of the hook to figure out who we would be in this lifetime you know because we're in a completely different time frame.

This is pure imagination.

There's no you know there's no like this is possible right?

You know in this lifetime.

I think people get kind of tripped up on the future self 20 years from now they get a little layered with expectations and stress.

Yep there's no expectation—I'm having a hard time with that word—there's no expectations or stress when you're going out a hundred two hundred years it becomes just pure imagination pure playfulness.

You know make it all up your way out there but when you look back it's not made up because you're looking back at what's real right now and are you loving what's real right now?

Is what I hear you saying Kim?

You know are you being who you want to be right now?

And stress quite honestly I look at stress now as like stress is a distraction from life.

Stress actually takes us away from who we want to be.

Yep it distracts us from what I call life with a capital L — L — I have life; are you living your life? Are you being—that’s life—and that's what I hear you asking it's like—

It’s—and I even think to clients that come in for a past life in this reality this time frame now they come in and I do a past life regression on them and most of them are expecting to see some significant huge person that they were in the past—and then they get that they were a standard person who maybe lived in the woods very lonely—and they're like wait what? This is all I get? That was my past?

And like yeah it was

And was it beautiful?

And some of them are like wow yeah there really wasn't a whole lot of say stress

And they could see the beauty in sometimes the aloneness

In this current lifetime they might be feeling alone but in the past life they honored that alone time

They honored that time with nature

And that might be the symbolism that they need in this current lifetime to say hey you need to go back

You need to go back to that feeling of like it's okay to be alone

It's okay to be with nature

Like that's what your body's searching for for healing

Yeah wow

That just kind of went way off

No that's cool because—

No no no—I followed you

I hope our listeners are following you

Here's what I've shared with people many times about past life stuff: whether or not you believe in past lives or not—as humans we understand things through storytelling

And what you just described there Kim was if we even just look at it through storytelling that at one point in history this person was a character who lived very solitary in the woods and was very content and peaceful

The modern day character is interpreting the being alone in nature as lonely and sad

Then you were helping them get into alignment over what the energy is not the story

Yeah yeah so again same thing here—you believe in future lives or not has nothing to do with it

It's just these are just tools of using the miracles of our minds

Our minds are so amazing that we can pretend that we're you know in the future 100 200 years looking back on who we are today like that's cool cool capacity of our minds use it play with it

Yep—and we talked about time here's the fun thing: time does not exist in the energetic realm right?

Okay so like human time tick-tock tick-tock okay yeah so when you just let your mind go and just wander off and like—the imagination centers—like little kids when they get excited and they have all these imaginary friends and stuff—and they're laughing when I say that because they're like they're not imaginary I'm like—I know—but in our world we're calling them that

It's more—you can go wherever you want to go

There is actually no limitations on where your mind can go what you can imagine if you just believe that it can go into a different state

And sometimes you don't get images in your head—you just go with a feeling or a thought just—

Oh yeah like imagine what you think the future would look like what would you what would you think 200 years from now would look like? And go there

And if you need—

My mind—

Yeah my mind—I see a lot of computers—

Yeah—I was going to say—and if you can't see it it's okay—you don't have to—you don't have to see something either—it's that—I know that anyone—you can really take yourself to a point where you're able to say turn around and look and see your current self

Yeah if you can do that that's what we're basically—that's all we're asking if you can do a whole lot more do that too but look find a way to look at your current self and say—is that what I want to be remembered? You know—is that—is what I'm doing right now—is that how I want to remember this? You know say kind of a—for a lot of people kind of stressful time of year—

Mm extra stressful maybe—I should say—you know—and if you're getting that there's a lot of stress there's a lot of things that you see that you're not thrilled about make some changes little ones incremental big ones it's gonna be great

Yeah your future past past lives—I like that thank you—and I'm looking back at this moment right now and I'm saying—like yes yes yes yes yes yes exactly what I want yep perfect thank you Jill thank you everyone yes thank you until next time
