There is not a hard rule for how long your episodes need to be. Keep in mind, your listeners may listen to 5 minutes in the morning during breakfast then a few more minutes on the way to work. The portability of our devices and easy access to podcasts makes them very flexible to the individual’s schedule. That said, if you have a twenty-minute episode that can deliver on the episode title with amazing content, great! If you’re like Pod Pointers and only need sixty-seconds or less to get your point across, awesome. Your episodes can also vary. Some may be fifteen-minutes, some may be twenty. Don’t lock yourself into a box where every episode must be exactly the same length. Make sure the length of time fits the content and your listener persona. Remember, you are creating content for the listener, make sure it’s good and worth their time.
