Prep Your Guests
Aug 15, 2022, Season 1, Episode 38
Brittany Brown and Rob Winters
Episode Summary

Your guests may not be familiar with podcasts or used to being interviewed. To ensure a successful interview, provide them with a checklist of what to expect in advance. If this is a remote interview, include items such as: be in a quiet location, have a strong internet connection, use an external microphone, if possible, explain any software downloads required or browser needs, and inform them of the shows format. For example, will you simply perform Q&A, or do you want them to feel comfortable riffing? The more you prep your guest, the less time you will need to spend dealing with technical issues or explaining how things work prior to hitting record the day of your interview.
