Episode Summary

"Weird are the thoughts that we believe separate us that are actually our biggest connection to others." - Shelley Brown

How many people do you know embrace the word weird and are proud of their weirdness? Tune in to this episode where we chat with a speaker, mindfulness educator, mentor, artist, and author best known as the creator of Weird Girl, Shelley Brown. Weird Girl is a series of humorous essays written about real-life experiences. We dive deeper into the concept of weirdness and how and why everyone should embrace it. We also chat about an interesting topic of "bullSHOULD" and mindfulness, so make sure you stay tuned.

Shelley Brown was born and raised in Chicago, she graduated from DePaul University. She served over 25 years in corporate America, practicing the fine art of mergers, acquisitions, downsizings, public-private transitions, acts of God, performance reviews, KPIs, workplace cultures, and more. Besides her dog and her boyfriend, Brown’s greatest joy is creating art and inviting people from all walks of life to allow their weird and join what she affectionately calls the “collective humanness of weirding”.
