Episode Summary

Butterflies + Halos was created by Angie Hanson.  Angie lost her 1-year-old son Garret in 2006 due to a rare heart defect. She then became a widow in February 2009 after her husband Jack's short battle with ocular melanoma, and she then became a grieving sibling in April 2009 after her brother Seth's battle with a 5-year brain tumor ended. Angie also sadly had to say goodbye to her sister-in-law, Brooke (her 1st husband's sister), in June 2018.  Angie has always struggled with finding the right sympathy card or grief card at the stores for her friends and family. Cards have always been so generic and not something she would say to her best friend after a death. Butterflies + Halos is a company that will help you grieve with your friend instead of trying to "fix" your friend. I think I finally found a card that “speaks hope into the grieving heart.
