Rob Winters: [00:00:00] This is the PodOps Media Podcast where we dive into marketing tips, tricks, and trends for entrepreneurs and small businesses. I'm your host, Rob Winters. Today's topic; Business Cards.

[00:00:13] Anyone with a small business needs to have a great-looking business card. If you're not a designer, try a site like VistaPrint and start with a pre-designed template. They also often have great promotions to save you on the cost of shipping and your overall purchase.

[00:00:27] Business cards also need to really stand out. For example, my own business cards are square, 2.5 by 2.5 inches, have rounded corners, use a premium paper, and have a glossy finish. I also like to include a photo of myself and a QR code.

[00:00:41] At the end of the day, it's likely most people won't remember my name off the top of their head after a networking event. This is where having a photo really helps and the QR code gives them an easy way to contact me with a quick scan of their camera and doesn't require that they enter a web address or email into their phone.

[00:00:59] Anywhere you can be unique with your card, be it the size, shape, or design, it's worth it. I'm often complimented at networking events on the look and feel of my own cards.

[00:01:07] Do you prefer a traditional or unconventional business card? Let me know in the comments on Facebook and Twitter.
