[00:00:13] If you allow people to sign up for a newsletter on your website and you're also a one-person operation, it can be difficult to ensure that you engage these new contacts in a timely manner with relevant information.

[00:00:25] This is where an email welcome series comes in handy and can be your new best friend. Email marketing tools like MailChimp and Klaviyo come with a number of built-in automations that can help you jumpstart this process. These messages require that you do some initial setup to create three or four emails that will send three to four days apart from one another. Each email should have a unique and useful piece of information for your users that they can act upon immediately. Things like how to reach out to you for support, how they can connect with you via social media, or a special offer that's only for new customers. Once created, you can connect the emails to your sign-up forms. As new subscribers use these forms, they will automatically begin to receive the email series. This way they are engaged when they are most interested in you.
