A Vietnam Infantry officer. Spent 21 years in the U.S army. Grew up in an impoverished environment in Oklahoma and California. A Batchler's degree from the University of California and a master's degree in Speech from Northern Illinois. Reside in a small community, Leavenworth, Kansas about 31 miles northwest of Kansas City.
