Dr. Allison Parker talks about her book "Mom is the missing link" with Yaya Diamond

https://dralisonparkerphd.com/ When Dr. Alison Parker was a child, she struggled with math but she still dreamed of becoming an elementary school teacher. She graduated from NYC Public Schools and went on to earn the following degrees and certifications: B.A. degree in Elementary Education from Brooklyn College M.S. degree in Early Childhood Education from Brooklyn College Advanced Certificate in Dyslexia Studies and Language-based Learning Disabilities from Southern New Hampshire University Orton-Gillingham Training from the Dyslexia Training Institute, Institute of Multi-Sensory Education, and Bank Street College Ph.D. in Education from Walden University In 2012, she launched her private practice, Purposeful Learning Academy, to provide in-person and online tutoring for students in Grades K-5. Her passion for literacy, coupled with her deep commitment to children’s education and her extensive training, is helping children develop a love for reading. Indeed, she is actively doing her part to close the reading achievement gap!
